To celebrate the opening of their first Japanese boutique, Acne is set to release a 100% Swedish scarf exclusively available in their new shop. Illustrated with emblematic Stockholm images, the scarf brings “a touch of Nordic style to Japan”.
On Thursday December 13, Acne opened its first Japanese boutique in the ultra-hip Aoyama area of Tokyo. To celebrate the new shop, Jonny Johansson the brand’s founder and creative director has designed a patriotic scarf, announcing he wants to bring “a touch of Swedish style to Japan”. English artist, Benjamin Seidler illustrated the most well-known icons of Stockholm for the scarf, including actress Greta Garbo’s face (born in Stockholm in 1905), sculptor Carl Miles’ God’s Hands, the capital’s city hall built in the 1920s and the Lilla Nygatan 23 building where Acne’s headquarters are located. In pastels, the silk scarf will be sold in the Japanese Acne boutique as well as online.
