Yellow gives energy like no other colour. I’m currently obsessed with anything yellow, chairs, book covers, cushions – maybe it’s because of spring and the need for sun? Designers definitely feel a similar affair with this colour, presenting manifold shades of yellow on their runways. From Prada‘s lemon cardigans to mustard dresses at Jil Sander, yellow can look extravagant or toned, according to your mood. Erdem went romantic with a baroque coat; Eckhaus Latta duo elevates corporate look with a canary blazer; Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga sent electric impulses down the runway with a pair of spandex thigh-high boots, in neon (obviously). Leave it to Dries Van Noten and Miu Miu to create some of the most bold and psychedelic prints of the season. It’s all about YELLOW.
