Berlin: Andreas Murkudis

Andreas Murkudis is not an ordinary store. It’s a place. A place, where it’s the best to simply BE. Why? Well, the whole fashion elite of Berlin gathers here. You may see cool dressed dandies, goth madames, Raf Simons geeks or the Celine girls… the labels sold in here are very various. You may find the luxurious names like Dries Van Noten, Maison Martin Margiela or Celine and also the niche ones: Yohji Yamamoto, Kolor, Mykita or Marsell. Andreas Murkudis is also a location known in Berlin for organizing art performances, cool parties and fashion shows for young Berliner designers. In other words, whenever I come here, I find something new and not banal. This is my favourite Berlin spot.

Miuccia’s World

20131214-092814 PM.jpg

Everything done by Miuccia Prada works on me. Her SS14 collection for Prada was the best collection of the season! Art, fashion and women power was never so linked together as now, when Prada’s theme of the collection are crystals, fur and prints… I was just on the press day of Prada’s SS14 accessories, and I should say, I am mesmerized. The nerdish sandals never looked so good. And then heels? Oh My Prada God. These acidic colours were so amazing! The Resort 2014 inspired with Hawaii is also a piece of art- everything is so embroidered and fragile. My favourite is the red floral dress… Great for every occasion! In other words, Prada nailed it this season. As always.

Berlin: Celine

20131213-053613 PM.jpg

Celine’s Phoebe Philo Resort 2014 collection got us all… Lost. The collection itself looks amazing on the models, but some elements are simply disturbing- the 70’s inspired astronaut belts on trousers and shirt; plastic Birkenstocks that look like, well, plastic pool sandals; heavy, Earth colours that are hard to wear for Spring. Yesterday, seeing it all up close, I am amazed but at the same time shocked, what kind of strange fabrics were used here- polyester, polar, plastic, rubber… In Philo’s mind, the Celine woman for Resort is boho- wears it all loose and over-sized. And pretty not neat. But still, as always in case of Celine… I like it.

Wood Wood store in Berlin is a heaven for sneakers lovers. Really. You will find here all types of Air Max, Comme des Garcons X Converse, Gold Nikes and others under one roof! The stores is pretty big, with high shelves presenting coolest trainers on Earth. There are also some really cool printed socks and bags that perfectly match hyper hype shoes… And i simply couldn’t resist to not to buy Nike Air 180 German Edition with camouflage print on the sides. Soon I will post them too! This place is for all shoe-maniacs like me!

Berlin: Acne Studios

20131108-091238 PM.jpg
Acne is a Swedish label known for great denim, jackets and shoes that are always kept in a sporty but chic way. The Munzstrasse boutique of Acne Studios is a tiny space that has an amazing installation on the celling ( I think it’s a light bulb spider!) and a lightly constructed, pastel pink table on which the clothes are kept. My favourite piece was the AW13 shirt with this artsy print on… The Berliner style is just up here!
