Paris: Alaia at Le Galliera

Slide01 Alaia is one of the most important fashion visionaires in the history. His body dresses, great craftmanship, beauty of the fabrics and fairy-tale creations are beloved by the biggest fashionistas, models, curators, journalists and others. Azzedine Alaia is so previledged, that he can show his collections whenever he wants. And 2013 was his year. Firstly, he opened a new flagship store in Paris. And then, monsieur A.A. got a great exhibition in Musee Galliera. In this museum, you can see the most important and out of this world gowns made out of metal, coats with crocodile tails and sea-shells on bustiers. After seeing it all, I am still amazed about how this man changed the fashion world, making young designers inspired by him. And I recomend you, to go there too. And fast because the exhibition closes on January 26!Slide02 Slide03 Azzedine-Alaia-12-Vogue-2Oct13-Patrick-Demarchelier_b Slide04 Slide05 Slide06 Slide07 Slide08 Slide09 Slide10

Paris: Alaia’s 5 rue Marignan

Slide1-kopia 3This what is located on the small street of Marignan in the fashion centre of Paris (it is few steps from Avenue Montaigne), is something much more than a fashion store of a famous designer. Azzedine Alaia just opened a three-level boutique, all in white marble, where Alaia’s couture and ready to wear pieces are exposed. This is the second flagship of Alaia- the first one is much more cosier, and is also a home/studio of Mr. Alaia (located on rue Moussy 7). The new store is filled with art that was collected by the designer through his life- beautiful lamps, amazing shelves and sofas are just few that may amaze you here. There is even a garden in which you MUST drink some coffee during Summer… and of course the clothes here are masterpieces.

Paris: Costes

My visit to the Costes Hotel & Restaurant on Rue St.Honore was one of the luckiest ones… I met Ekaterina Mukhina, Vogue Ukraine’s contributor and stylist! I am really happy because I love her work and style … In other words, first wish of 2014 came true. So, as you see- Costes is the cool place in Paris. With it’s old-fashioned interior and huge garden patio, it contains a restaurant, five-star hotel, perfumerie and flower store. The food in the restaurant is magnifique! The Thai Chicken Rolls are my old-time friends, the delicious spicy tuna tartar is served in new Atlantic way and the best dessert on Earth is served here- wild strawberries with whipped cream!

Paris: Always Together at Le Galliera

Between the walls of the adorable building of Musee Galliera in Paris, I met this couple- she, dressed in black, and him, dressed in black (and a lovely fur colour I am envy about!). Both in hats. This lovely couple definitely got something about them- their attitude to dress how they feel, making a perfect match. Here are some snaps from Musee Galliera where the Alaia exhibition took place- soon more to come!

Paris: Colette

20140101-034256 PM.jpg
I know I am writing about Colette not the first time, but still… There is something addictive about the coolness of this store. This time when I came to the multi-brand store located in the heart of Saint Honore street, I noticed that Parisian’s simply wear their best clothes just to look as most fashionable and stylish as possible just for this place! So many fashionistas, bloggers, artists and fashion dictators come here, it is nearly impossible to concentrate on the goods sold here. Colette is more a cult than a typical flossy boutique. Definitely, this place full of Givenchy, Ashish, Piece Anarchive and french club music is a spot to be. And by the way- my shopping this time here was very rich…
