Punk Fur. Fendi AW13

Slide1The second day of Milan Fashion Week is nearly finished and Fendi showed it’s collection. And lots of things happened during the show! Lots of designers used fur for this season, but no one interprated like Silvia Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld! It was a colour bum mixed up with a great dose of punk and energy! First thing that really made me stunned were the head coverings- at first they look like a futuristic hairstyle, and then it is a small furry ball! Going into the clothes- these were masterpieces! The tops were multi coloured with pink, yellow and blue fur the same as enormous coats! The bags were also extra-vagant! Slide2 Slide4However more neutral colours like beige and black were also seen. My favourite look of the whole show is definetly the second one from the second picture! The top is overloose with patchwork of beige and yellow shades of fur! It had also a amazing red line under that gave a sharp look! Fendi used black in more classical styles- fur with leather or only leather. And that’s right: too much of something is never healthy! Slide3 Slide5Then there was also a whole serie of amazing mix of brown, grey and orange- a very refreshing mix for winter! The without sleeve fur was a real highlight because it did look stunning. I loved the blue colour splash- it wasn’t a dull blue, but a deep and “new” colour! The round skirt made out of totally from fur was really awesome and the overloose sweatshirt from fur with a big cut? This is a real elegance on street!

Pop It. Tom Ford AW13

Tom Ford, that is now having a rebirth of his label that was for time being making cosmetics, and really long time ago was creative director of Gucci, is debuting with his third collection on London Fashion Week. Now I’m saying this. He is my favorite of the week. His collections are for real, they’ve got fur in great amounts (sorry PETA and eco fans), luxury embroinment on skirts and pants with Chinatown inspired flowers from the elegant lounges and clubs for elite. After a serie of super luxury sportwear with animal print a bit of black minimalism came on amazing sweaters.

Ford was also inspired with Neons/pop art. Just look at the dresses and jackets! These Kapow patterns that are known from Roy Lichtenstein art are mind blowing. And what’s very Tom, is that he didn’t put these Kapow’s everywhere- no he used it in subtel, delicate amount, mostly on maxi gowns.

When the furs came around I thought to myself “Altuzarra and Prabal Gurung, take notes or run away”! The long, higly tailored coats with laser cut leather and white fur were breath taking! I was jst stunned.

And the funniest part of the show was when the “zebras” came! The long evening gowns with sequined stripes in black and white were so classical but modern! Really the collection left me in many points totally stunned. And I was feeling, like if the models came out from a elite and luxury lounge somewhere in London, decorated in Chinese like ornaments and 60’s- 70’s prints… Tom Ford collection was BEST from whole London Fashion Week!

Street Couture. Christopher Kane AW13

20130218-075912 PM.jpg
The wait is over! After long months of waiting for Christopher Kane new season, it is here. Maybe it wasn’t as spectacular as SS colelction that was full of cool details and colours. This time Kane preferred some couture cut but in a street chic. The embelished 3D flowers on blouses were also gourgous. And for a better effect, the whole runway was located in a factory were production of sth was done!

20130218-080639 PM.jpg
And I should say, that Kane was inspired with french master of laser cut and silhoutte- Azzedine Alaia. Just look at the bordoux dresses- they look like if they were thanks to eye of Alaia himself! I loved the structured white dress with fabric made plates. One more thing is sure- the dresses and tops with bleeding brains will be a must have just a the Frankenstein tee. It looks cool!

Mature Chic. Proenza Schouler AW13

20130215-085515 PM.jpg
Proenza Schouler is getting with every season even more mature and better! When the opening model of the show was Sasha Pivovarova, that is that is doing her big comeback, I thought that this will be good! And it was! The collection was very minimalistic, kept in black, white and neutrals. It was easy and classy. The ultra cool tailored jackets look really casual and perfect for a windy weather. And these ski like leather gloves look like lots of fun!

20130215-100033 PM.jpg
There was a comeback of asian inspired kimono dresses with straight peplums! The crepe dress in beige with some subtel dots was also a big highlight of the show. And I loved the serie of two models in sweatshirts that were presented on skirts or dresses made out of something looking like feathers! That was kind of parodoxal! A street chic mixed up with mature elegance. The shoes of the collection were incredible because they were just simple. A small fragile leather ribbon on a minimalistic high heel with stretch in the middle.

Now that’s a real bye bye time NYC. And we will meet in Milan (or in London, I am always forgetting!) 😃

Love Affair. Marc Jacobs AW13

Slide1-kopia 2

Marc Jacobs fall was a melancholic and beautiful love affair. It was inspired with The Film Noir and it was dipped like in a opium perfume. It was lady like and very sexual, delicate but with power. It was glamorous and sensual and it was totally taken out from iconic imagery of Lauren Bacall in her 1940’s finest. Luxury mink stoles, silk pajama’s like tops, pencil skirts, silky trousers, clingy knits, overcoats and wide lapels and T Strap heels (that are toatally in fashion this season) were presented.

The setting was also glamour and romantic. The moonlight and a dark, musky atmosphere… It was like the models came out from ultra luxury club, still have a scent of Yves Saint Laurent Opium perfume.

That was a really amazing ending of New York fashion week. All the collections that I wrote about were so unique and creative- however I should say mostly everything was very classical (the only collections that I didn’t like was Michael Kors.  Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta in collab with John Galianno that was too heavy and artificial as for the master of femine master and other  designers like Ralph Lauren were also poor for me). And now, readers we are going to… Milan!
