December 11: Julien Dossena is the guy who made the ultra-modern brand, Paco Rabanne, modern again for our times. AW14, he did the signature Paco Rabanne chain tops , and for SS15 he thought of sporty, airy and very fit dresses. The 20th century’s sci-fi brand becomes into 21st centuries cool-girl essentials.
December 10: Edie Campbell. Gloomy eyes. Dark mullet. A true, British rose. Vogue Paris styled by Emmanuelle Alt.
December 9: Yohji Yamamoto broke the system during Paris Fashion Week in April, presenting his AW14- manga-printed, huge parachute coats and knitted masterpieces. The Japanese king of avant-garde together with Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons stole my heart this year. They know how to do fashion.
December 8: Kym Ellery succesfully concquers Europe with her Aussie label, Ellery. Famous for exaggerated, voluminous silhouttes, smart colour & print mixing and always great shoes, Kym has a lot to offer and her ground-breaking brand is the one to observe in 2015.
December 7: A.F. Vandevorst, the eponymous label of a couple, had a great 2014- a new flagship store in Antwerp with an atelier on the second floor. Also, their SS15 collection was a beautiful fuse of militarian grunge and couture finishings. In other words, the Antwerpian label is in full-bloom this year!
