Zurich: Baur Au Lac Garden, Trois Pommes, Looq, Grieder and more…

The first day in Zurich was great. For a walk with the dog we went, to our hotel’s park that is full of modern sculptures. All were very new and were representing some of the most known commercial products like Coca Cola and Dom Perignon.20121227-075512 PM.jpg20121227-075550 PM.jpg20121227-075602 PM.jpg20121227-075612 PM.jpg20121227-075619 PM.jpg
After we went for a little shopping- first to the Grieder where were amazing men’s sale for winter and new collection. I bought the essential for wardrobe New Balance Bordeaux sport shoes that are ideal for jogging and are super chic.
But the most cool shops were the Trois Pommes. There like 6 of them on one street. The woman that is the owner of it also has Prada, Miu Miu and Moncler. But the most nice shop was the one were there was only Balmain and Alaia. Is should say everything was beautiful. The masterpieces of Alaia like dresses and bags however were all lying and all sizes availe. Thats strange because in Paris all sizes were sold… We also went upstairs that is closed for public (we went here thanks to a very nice lady) and saw the antical outlet of Balmain… It was beautiful! A lot of gold and ornaments… Most of the clothes were designed by the older Balamin designer Christopher Decarnin that is for me better than the today’s one!

For dinner we chose Tao’s, a trendy asian cuisine restaurant with an awesome atmosphere! The food was delicious but thee no photos because it was really dark… And after food time we had a walk through Bankhofstrasse and saw this…

Paris: Day 4

The essential thing today was the Azzedine Alaia boutique on Rue Moussy. It’s connected with the workshop of Alaia and in past the shop was a warehouse of a commercial centre. And… I met Azzedine Alaia and said to him “Hello” and he answeared “Bonjour!” I was really excited about that… The clothes that were made by hand of Alaia and his workers are so beautiful and with such a good quality. I am so happy I was there… And here are some pics from the shop and clothes:

I am still really happy! The next person that I met was… Kate Winslet! OMG. OMG. OMG. That was so nice and short! I didn’t even have chance to take a photo. But here I’ve got a great photo of Lena in Celine, Gucci and Reed Krakoff:

And after I went to Diptyque store that sells candles and creams:

And then… COLETTE! Oh yes! It is a minimalist temple of cult of the ultra trendy Saint Honore. Colette is dedicated to modern high fashion, jewellery, as well as books, magazines and others fashionable objects. And the best part is the T-Shirt section and small articles and culture. Brands like Comme Des Garcons, Thom Browne, Mary Katrantzou, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Carven and Proenza Schoulers are there. I bought the Garage Magazine by Dasha Zhukova and the Impossible Project Polaroid Paper. What to say more: I love it as always.

After I was at the Yohji Yamamoto shop and DsQuared2. At the end there was the Chanel shop on Rue Cambon with the Cruise 2013 clothes.

For dinner I had L’Atelier Etoile on Champs Elysees. It was super! I loved it! I ordered four small degustative dishes: chicken with white truffles, black cod, scallops in pumpkin soup, burger with foie gras. Here are photos: PS This restaurant is the most trendy one in Paris and you sit behind a big bar.

Paris: Day 3

Today, the first thing was a long walk from Saint Honore to Avenue Montaigne. All the shops were closed today so it was quite fast… However the shop windows were open as always!:

And then, I had a delicious lunch in L’Avenue… After this I went to Louvre to see the brand new Islamic part. It was nice, however all those vases and stones weren’t really exciting after the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. But the building of it was really modern and elegant.

And after the museum I went to look for the Alaia boutique and saw the most cool region in Paris! It was close to the Hotel de Ville and it reminded me of Soho. The shops there were really cool and were selling great designer and non designer pieces. There was also a Lomography shop were I saw a lot of beautiful cameras. And back to Alaia. I found it but it was close however I really like the idea of the shop. Alaia’s decision to sell his designs in a different district far from the fashion streets, so the celebs can buy the clothes and shoes in piece. And here are few best addresses of the Jew District:
Lomography- it is a society and a shop that loves old fashioned cameras and produce them. The shop has a great atmosphere and every lover of polaroids and others will find a home there.
17 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie

20121104-065221 PM.jpg
DOM- It’s a perfect place to find cool decorations for your home. Ex. A telephone in a skull shape.

20121104-065732 PM.jpg
L’Eclaireur- a shop with labels like Dries Van Noten, Maison Martin Margiela, Lanvin. It’s typical and experimental because it provides a dazzling voyage of discovery. Everything here is a suprise plus there is the added advantage of good service. A perfect place for a fashionista.
12 rue Malher
