Tropical Escape. No21 Resort’16

no-21-030-1366

Alessandro Dell’Acqua is the rising star of Milan and there no wonder why – his collections for No21 are always fresh and cool, but in Itlalian way. For Resort 2016, Alessandro fused many themes at a time – the marine chic which involved stripes; ethnic prints; oriental textiles (look at the canvas shoes!). All of that brought on the idea of perfect “tropical escape” wardrobe. The midi skirt with a sexy cut looked truly gorgeous with that over-sized chunky sweater while the warm colour of curcuma gave a laid-back mood. In overall, Dell’Acqua is known for his talent of mixing feminine silhouttes with masculine forms – the sailor jacket is the must-have of the collection, combined with one of these crispe checked skirts. This collection is an essential highlight of Alessandro’s fashion career becuase it smartly shows No21’s signatures in a very refreshing order.

New Lady-Like. Rochas AW15

MARC0009a

Alessandro Dell’Acqua of No21 makes the legendary Rochas house alive! And his AW15, the third runway collection for this label, is ultra-cool in it’s feminity. As it’s the 90th birthday of the historical Parisian house created and found by Marcel Rochas, the new Italian designer presented a refreshing view on women’s wardrobe. The dresses were lady-like, with ribbons, archive heritage-bird prints and ruffles – but the shoes had punky studs on. And if we contrast that with sheer silk skirts… then the overall result is a bomb. Just like the warm yellow colour which appeared on Maja Salamon and Molly Blair. We can’t wait for more, Alessandro!

Rochas / Advent 2014

Slide08

December 22: Alessandro Dell’Acqua had a busy and fruity year- he made his own label, N.21, the tt-label of every Milan women, and re-invented Rochas, the old couture brand from Paris. He brought chic, beautiful embellishments and fresh silhouettes to the house, creating a wardrobe for lady-like, bold characters. Rochas is not only a go-to for New Year Eve, but for every other event.

Sheer Beauty. Rochas SS15

Slide06

Being Rochas woman nowadays might be hard- work, children, time for a nap. And the brand is known for it’s non-chalance and avantgarde. But this summer, Alessandro Dell Acqua made a little bit easier. Although we’ve got the super couture embroideries and lots of sheer beauty, there is a new way of being Rochas- wear socks with one of their confetti sling-back pumps! They are gorgeous. Just like the logo-matic on the blouses and dresses. But for those who feel like dressing up in mostly couture level, there are those breath-taking gowns with tulle, embellished flowers and ribbons… or skirts with crotchet knits… or one of those floral coats… In other words, Dell Acqua brought us lots of different options. And the sheer elements are like magic. As for his second collection for Rochas, mister Alessandro really feels the Rochas spirit.
