Globe Trotter. Chanel AW13

“I’ve got my feet on the ground, but this collection is up-to-earth, not down-to-earth.” said Karl Lagerfeld about his recent Chanel collection that was presented this morning traditionally in Grand Palais, Paris. As always Karl, made us all stunned before the collection- a huge Earth globe and around a massive grey carpet with continents on it. As always, shocking!
Lagerfeld thought this time about luxury travelling- silk, gold, silver, but still it should be comfortable and useful. So the collection was like! The new muse Ashleigh Good opened the collection in a revisted tweed jacket, with glam punk boots and a cool bag. And when I saw the hats… So great! These were like fake hair, made from fur, in pink and blue colour.

The show was full of signature colours by Chanel- indigo, black and grey. And do you remember this clutch box for 17’000€ with Chanel logo from SS season? It’s back! But now in warmer, knitted version. And I really loved all knits! Karl Lagerfeld always keep them elegant and cool.
Loved also all golden ornaments on tops. It was like a small reminder of Chanel’s trip to Bombay! And of course black and white flowers. Without them, there is no Chanel!

The end was full of gowns and Stella Tennant. Black evening gowns were mixed up with punk like styled pearl bracelets. And the boots I wrote about before. Chanel, is as always ruling, but for me definetly not best. And what’s always good about Chanel is that it’s always changing, never stays the same. And that’s thanks to genius of Karl Lagerfeld, who by the way opened his first boutique of his label “Karl”!

Chanel Pre-Fall 2013

Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s annual Métier d’Arts (or pre-fall) collection at a drafty old castle in Scotland last night. And by drafty and old, we mean extremely so: Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots in 1542, is now partially roofless, and there were snow flurries during the show. (To keep people from getting blue-lipped and shivery — not chic — Chanel constructed a temporary wooden canopy over the audience and put lap blankets at every seat.) Meanwhile, there were crackling fires in what looked like large metal trash cans, and tunic-wearing waiters served whiskey and smoked salmon.
The collection itself featured a lot of woolly scarves, tartan, plaid, and medieval-looking puffy sleeves. Lagerfeld’s godson, 4-year-old Hudson Kroenig, made a smashing runway appearance in adorable plaid pants, a matching kilt, and patent leather shoes with jeweled buckles (oh, and his father, Brad, looked cute, too). Models wore elaborate hair ornaments crafted from feathers and what resembled a head of garlic, and Lagerfeld took his bow with his perennial favorite Stella Tennant. Paris: Day 8

Ok. The first thing, today that caught my eye were the new Chanel shoes from Resort 2013. They look really great, they have a real Street Style feeling!

20121109-073109 PM.jpg
That was the most “touristic” day! I went to… three museums! All of them were great, full of interesting pieces and topics!
1. Le Pinacoteque De Paris: Van Gogh and Hiroshige “Reves de Japon” and Denis Rouvre “Low Tides”
Both expositions were inspired with Japan. In the first one, were the Dutch artists paintings were compared to Hiroshige’s, we could see some big similarities between both very different artists. We are talking about the tematics and positions of objects and people in the art pieces.

Denis Rouvre’s photographies of Japanese people after the disaster in 2011 were really great because of perfect photography skills and people. That was mine favourite exposition today!

2. Gagosian Gallery: Rudolf Stingel
Nice, but I didn’t understand the sence of those gold “strange” things…

And Jeff Koons

The last but not least, Palais de Tokyo and the Chloe Attitude exhibition’s for the label 60 years.
The exposition of photos and clothes was amazing. All the dresses were awesome and I really liked the way their were presented.

For lunch I went to Hotel Costes that’s totally the same as L’Avenue. So it must be good.

20121109-075909 PM.jpg
As for a shop with GOOD things I recomend warmly La Pistacherie where you can buy every type of pistaccio and nuts, from sicilian pistachio to green pistachio.

For the last dinner we went to L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. It’s the best restaurant in Paris for me! And I ❤ Paris the most of all. I hate the thought, that I need to departure tomorrow… No! Paris is full of fashion, restaurants, art and it’s atmosphere is even better than NY. I am really sad to leave you, City of Love!😥
J’adore Paris…

Paris: Day 5

20121106-072313 PM.jpg

Today wasn’t really an energetic day full of celebs and so on, however there was a lot of walking… In the lobby of Mandarin Oriental, there were some beautiful roses! They had such a beautiful scent… 20121106-065419 PM.jpg
And then was the best thing… I bought an amazing, over sized coat by Kenzo! It is made from wool and it is in real Parisian Style.

20121106-070122 PM.jpg
Then after a poor lunch in Heriard, on Place Madelaine there was a new window of Chanel with Little Black Jacket. And then we enter to trendy A.L.C were I found some nice, modern clothes in quite low prices.

20121106-070535 PM.jpg
After, I found the minimalistic shops of Comme des Garcons on Saint Honore. There was a CdG Museum full of strange and edgy designs! Next to it there was a shop of Damir Doma the new star of fashion. The boutique was really interesting, full of wood, concrete, black and grey. The clothes that were a bit sporty and dark were really expensive.

Then, quickly ran to the Celine boutique, that is also full of minimalism and concrete. There Lena bought a new Celine sweater and a knitted dress. Oh, and before it, we visited Christian Louboutin. And we had to stand in a really, really long line to enter there. In reality, there was nothing special, except the Japonais Loafers…

20121106-071609 PM.jpg
And here is my old hotel on Av. Montaigne, Plaza Athenee Hotel.

20121106-071658 PM.jpg
WOW! Le Substance Agape is a marvelous restaurant. We were all sitting together behind on table with other people. I met so much new people! And about the food: delicious! And crazy…
