In his aesthetically world of dark chaos and comfortable, timeless pieces, Rick Owens seem to ignore all the rules of model line and beauty. Forget skinny girls and “pretty” faces. The AW14 was all about Parisian women who are Rick’s friends- they don’t have anything to do with fashion. And they wore the new clothes on the runway, that were really cool, in their own, everyday way. The clothes maybe weren’t unexpected – although these nun bonnets were terrible- but still, they felt Rick. What do you think of this kind of diversity in fashion? I am totally for ‘yes’.
Cool
Femme Enfant. Jacquemus AW14
Simon Porte Jacquemus is the moments most interesting and hopeful designer of Paris- his AW13 was setted on a Parisian swimming pool. SS14 was all about French beach relax and Grand Motte. And the new AW14 is… infantile. But with a taste. Inspired with his childhood toys and childish behaviours, Simon created a perfect collection for women who feel ethernally young. The fabrics used were also simbolizing youth- neoprene, hand embroidered smocks and very DIY object of daily use- clips. What I really loved, were the colours- pigeon blue, strong yellow, citrus red. And of course the signature of Jacquemus- white socks with white trainers. Old-time Parisian friends! Voulez-vous d’avoir du plaisir maintenant?
Chic. Cedric Charlier AW14
That was pretty unexpected from that eponymous, known for colour-blocking, label. Cedric Charlier took us into his darker side within the AW14 collection- dark, gloomy hair that looks perfect with all these clothes: simple coats, beige dresses, fur jackets and detailed top look like a good match. Although I didn’t understand this grey jumpsuit that isn’t a jumpsuit, I definitely love most the creme midi skirt with that structured top- it’s great for a everyday routine and a night out. Charlier not only hits the on-line stores, but also emerges into important Parisian designer- so better keep an eye on him!

Funhouse. Jonathan Saunders AW14
Jonathan Saunders created a need-right-now collection for AW14. Seriously, these funny pointy-shouldered coats and embroidered gowns look not only elegant, but also quirky and cool. With layered knitwear, blouses, silver skirts and cool varsity jackets and signature Saunders florals, it feels that the collection will be bestseller when it will hit the stores… and it’s really perfect for a casual splash in London!

Prada SS14 Coat…

This amazing coat by Prada comes straight from the runway of SS14. While the collection is spectacular and it reflects in perfect way how the fashion genius of Miuccia Prada links with art, this coat is definitely the must-have. With a printed face of a women (notice that one eye is embroidered!) kept in nice, earthy colour palette, the shoulder-point coat is surely a thing to invest. If you have a spare 3000 euros, of course.
