Indian Summer. Givenchy AW14

20140303-083519 PM.jpg
Already the setting told me, that something will be another than it used to be before at Givenchy. By meaning “the setting”, I mean lack of huge pile of old cars, basketball field or church organs. The setting was… A narrow runway. And that’s it. That possibly means that… Riccardo Tisci will concentrate on clothes, and not on performance. And I was right! The collection was like a flashback to Riccardo’s first shots at Givenchy- embroidered, romantic gowns, fur jackets, tuxedo trousers with over-sized pockets… And no more t-shirts with digital prints. No more coolness kept in the picture (although Kanye and Rihanna sat in the front row…). That was the real, romantic Givenchy we missed so much.
The AW14 was like an Indian Summer (or rather Indian Winter). Models wore exotic leathers, beads mixed with braids on their heads, fur vests and tribal-appliquéd dresses and skirts for example. There were some connections to menswear AW14- these trousers. Inspired with basketball players, Riccardo applied these rapper sweatpants too, into this interesting collection. I must admit- I prefer this kind of Givenchy rather than the commercialised one. Because here, only few pieces will land on-line… P.S. The models: Maria Carla Boscono, Karen Elson, Stella Tennant, Kendall Jenner, Natasha Poly and Joan Smalls. A perfect cocktail.

Lemaire’s Summer

20131007-092130 PM.jpg
Christophe Lemaire is definitely one of the hot names in Paris. He is designing for Hermes, and his own, beautiful label, making both of the houses minimalistic and fresh. At Hermes, Christophe took us to the jungle- but in very luxurious way. More, you wouldn’t go to the jungle in one of these jumpsuit, but live in one of these luxurious hotels with villas… Presented in a beautiful environment with lots of palms and trees, the collection was a mix of practical resort life and luxurious Hermes heritage. And if looking to the Lemaire’s line, we may be still located around the palm trees, but in a beautiful living room in one of Saint Honore apartments in Paris. SS14 for Christophe Lemaire was all about Parisian chic cut with a twist of exotic life. And the shoes… They really look awesome!

Exotic. Dior SS14

Slide1-kopia Raf Simons showed again in Paris, that less is more. And more is more! In the rythms of Kylie Minouge’s Slow, the models walked the runway decorated with thousands of exotic flowers in beautiful dresses and skirts. But first the amazing venue- the Dior show for Summer 2014 was happening in the Rodin Museum in Paris, with a breath-taking view on Montmatre. In a huge campus, the guests were amazed with the smell of exotic flowers and trees from around the world- the colours and natural sunlight made it even more awesome. Coming back to clothes- well, that was something mesmerizing. The shoes stole my heart- stilettos with laces and embroidered flowers were a mix of sport and couture. Just like the collection itself. Delicate, but sporty sweaters were worn with tulle skirts; the suits were revisted thanks to prints on the back; typical Summer dresses were embroidered with flowers. In other words, it was something very fragile and without pretence.Possibly, this is the most beautiful collection of this Summer season… Bravo, Raf!

The Beautiful Mind Series 1.

DSC08240

“From the A Beautiful Mind series, a long-lasting perfume and the floral notes will continue to lure with their exotic whispers for hours and hours. The difference you will notice in the dry down is a softer kind of sultriness (courtesy of the heavy dose of cashmeran) and a woody backdrop that is at once dry (cedar) and sweet (sandalwood).”DSC08245DSC08248With a beautiful packed bottle of fragrance and with a hologram postcard attached to it, this perfume that was created in Berlin, in mind that our brain remember best only the scents, this mixture of oriental aromats is the product of high technology and bio productions. The Beautiful Mind Series 1. is all about Intelligence and Fantasy!DSC08244
