For the moment, Jason Wu is my favourite collection from New York Fashion Week! With Karen Elson opening the show and some golde modern lamps around the runway, it all felt so silent and peaceful… The first looks, kept in beige shades, were all about mixing masculine tailorship with feminine cuts. The details on the skirts and dresses looked amazing, and when Karlie Kloss walked the runway in that fairy-tale dress, the only thought that is still is in mind: New York sirens. At the end there were lots of blue and tourquoise sequins that looked beautiful… I should say that Jason Wu nailed it. Really. These clothes would look lovely in a film… maybe something about luxurious yacht sailing, full of champagne and sirens in the water around? Masterpiece!

Fashion Week
Cool Girls. Peter Som SS14
The second day of fashion week in New York is all about Summer glamour, lightness and bright prints- but not as last summer, where we could see only stripes. No it’s all about a la Emilio Pucci prints that look super sexy on the swimsuits. The Peter Som collection for SS14 was definetely one of these cool shows. The blue colours looked refreshing, just like the geometric lines and white, over large dresses! The collection was a bit about the style of mixing prints and trends- it was a pleaure to see these vintage looking shoes in leo dots mashed up into the look of the beautiful balloon white dress. This young designer’s leather speciality is for sure the eel skin- this pretty specific fabric was used to cover whole coat that looked marvellous! But, I can’t hide my impression, that Peter certainly did copy some details from past collections of his New York “in the proffesion” friends…

Spice. Victoria Beckham AW13

Victoria Beckham is even hotter than coil in the fireplace. What to do to spice up your winter style like her? Be tuned on her talent! Because for NYFW Beckham really showed off with beautiful minimalism and use of materials. The main colour was indigo and violet. The blue colour on overloose coats that were presented was just mind blowing. Violet minimalistic shirts and black pants were totally on!

Then there was the yellow attack but with a peaceful and distance power. The yellow triangle on the blouse is just the key of the collection. And the 70’s like dress in lemon colour? Just a wish. Next trend of the collection was the brown pencil skirt that was full of grace. And the large doctor bag is back, the same as two seasons ago!

The last looks were totally black. But in a good and lite way! Victoria used a pony hair for the tops and dresses that gave a sophisticated touch. Oh and remember about the brown skirt with a long cut in front! (But still don’t know how it can help during a snowy day).
