Naomi Campbell walked down the runway like only Naomi can, in a jacket held together with crystal hooks and eyes. Underneath she wore a black lace bra, inspired with Madonna, and she was flashing a substantial swath of upper thigh. That was amazing. The icon in pretty new, fresh form, was mind blowing. The collection of Atelier Versace by Donatella Versace was all about bright past. First of all you need to know, that Donatella is recreating only two years, after a long break when Gianni died. This is like a renaissance. I should say, that for real Atelier Versace is now and then two much better than all these Chanel and Dior Haute Couture… All the Sergeenko’s, Valli’s, Jarrar’s need to hide and will never be as good as Atelier. Gianni is dead, but Donatella lives, and she really makes the label up. This is fantastic. I love it. Really.
This collection wasn’t about shitty minimalism but is propagated by Dior, or cheap looking wedding dresses by Chanel. The details- crystal hooks, fur, amazing tailor ship, best quality. And a cat suit that plunged down to Lindsey Wixson’s navel was paneled from lace, net, and handwoven leather. That piece was the least thirties-ish of the lot, but all of the models wore real diamond jewelry designed by Versace. I feel the Gianni spirit here!!!

Tisci and Friends
I think Riccardo Tisci really got a rotweiller in his ass (in a good way of course)! Tisci is the creative director of Givenchy and is one of the most influencial menswear and womenswear designer from Paris. He is known for prints (Rottweiler, flowers, Madonna, Jesus, etc.) and street inspired clothing. And it’s not the end. He had his two whole interviews and editorials in Self Service and GQ (the one I’m showing is from Self Service), will design ballerina costumes for Bolero in one of the most known Parisian opera, makes friends with Kanye West and Jay-Z and if like it wasn’t enough, he created amazing scene costumes for Rihanna’s Diamond Tour. Crazy, isn’t it?
In the Self Service editorial Tisci is in his Atelier Givenchy “house” in Paris (it’s on Avenue George V, the building is next to Balenciaga boutique) siting on black sofa with his favourite model Joan Smalls and his friends from the runways. Of course every one wears pre-fall 2013 collection. And here I’ve got some backsatge pics from recent Givenchy show- full of grunge, romantic vibes, prints and Givenchy spirit. I personally loved the collection! It is the real Parisienne chic!
“What’s that jacket, Margiela?”
Paris. 11th arrondissement. Lies opposite Saint Joseph de Nations, Catholic church. It is the headquarter of Maison Martin Margiela. The building is from 19th century and used to be a convent in earlier life. The entrance is white, a chandelier covered in white fabric is seen. A pink neon sign Welcome is hanging above the reception. The members of Maison are dressed in blouses blanche, the white lab coats. Archive photos are hanging all over. Yep, it is the house of Maison Martin Margiela. Where the magic of couturier is happening. The new definition of ready-to-wear is formed.
The couture line of Margiela- Artinasal, had a asian fusion this season. It was all very tailored and full of ornaments. The beginning of the show was like if somebody put withe paint on black dress. Then the Indian influences and a la sari’s came. It was beautiful.

After the youth energy came. Elegant dresses mixed with a great dose of colour? Only at Maison Martin Margiela. That was my favourite part of the show. And the face masks reminded me of the Trompe L’Oile print that was shown on the HM collaboration on the blouses.
