Au Revoir. Louis Vuitton SS14

1052457I was crying during the show! That was so, so horrifying that Marc Jacobs is out of Louis Vuitton and that it was his last collection for this luxurious fashion house from Paris. Will somebody be better than this American in Paris? Surely, these were fantastic years with Jacobs- Night Porter, geometrical shapes, boudoir, trains, grunge, African tribal inspirations… These were just few of things that were accompanying us together with Jacobs. It will be very sad for now. But, about the collection now. It was like a mix of everything that Marc did for LV. The show was presented in gothic venue with a dark fountain, victorian buildings and a grand clock that gave a dramatic twist to the collection. Edie Campbell, the muse of Marc Jacobs, opened the collection in an amazing logo body, having chains and a massive feather decoration on head. The next models (a lot of famous faces!) were also dresses in Victorian inspired way- detailed gowns, feather hats and… yes, denim jeans that was a surprise. That looked epic. C’mon, only MJ could mix a Victorian dress with jeans. And that’s why my heart will always have a place for Marc Jacobs collection. Even if they will be a fail.

Boudoir. Louis Vuitton AW13

I’m a bit disappointed with Marc this time. He really did leftovers from his Marc Jacobs label that was like three weeks ago on NYFW. Some pieces were very similar, as well as hairstyles. Everything looked like a tone of really good, hand made pyjamas, but in a more sexy way. Unfortunately it some how didn’t made me stunned. And this a problem- Marc Jacobs do his line and Louis Vuitton, but he designs them same. He uses his fresh ideas on Marc Jacobs in NY and his leftovers in Paris. But maybe that’s a bit better because LV can’t be bought on-line and MJ can be bought. The other thing is that LV is three times more expensive!

Still everything was kept in Parisian way. Fur and Art Nouveau flowers were here and a stunning interior was present. The models were coming out on a huge corridor from their rooms, were luggages and hologram men were sitting. And who was there to make everything hotter? Of course Kate Moss, that was walking in a silk dress with flowers on it. Looked strange with black hair but who cares?

Men’s: AW13 for Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton knows how to amaze me. This time, LV was awesome! Kim Jones, the deigner, is just a menswear genius! The collection started from faded leopard coats, then into black. The sport jackets with fur and backpacks are just perfect for a stylish trip to mountains and the 70’s floral kimonos look like they were taken from Tibet! The whole collection was like a trip to this magical place in Asia. Mountains, snow, Asian-culture influences, dragons… The bags from traditional tapestry shown some mystic stories and the super cute sweater with a comic leopard will be for sure must have in Paris street style (the same as the beige too big scarves from last season). And look at the backpacks- they are edgy with youthful vibe, although they look practically for a journey to a ideal snowy country… Maybe Switzerland, Italy, France or Aspen?
