Dots, dots, dots… they at every major runway and lookbook for SS14 and Pre-Fall’14. The famous polka dots appear to be small, bigger, much bigger and again even tinier (making it super cute and fragile on the body!). And they don’t need to be printed- see Dior haute couture were we see some dotty laser cut. Or- if you are not a print fan- then make your outfit fun and crazy by mixing black with dotty gloves and bag… just like styled at Lanvin. So, into which DOT are you then?

Pre-Fall 2014
René Gruau. Dior Pre-Fall’14
This super cute collection by Raf Simons for Dior reminds me too bad of Laduree macarons and the smell of Parisian perfumeries. With beautifully ilustrated dresses by Rene Gruau from 40’s, this collection is definitely one of the best from Raf. The coats in pastel colours, the poncho mixed with a graphic shirt and the new versions of Miss Dior bags match my taste a lot. And I love how Simons takes archives back to present- in his way, it feels much more fresh and artistic.

Gypsy. Marni Pre-Fall’14
Marni’s designer, Consuelo Marni, makes a renaissance movement for this label. Seriously, the last few seasons are really good. And this Pre-Fall’14 is even better! Having a bit of Prada feel in it (note those fur stoles and shoes!), the collection is warm, boheme and cool at the same time. Like a gypsy, the model wears not matchy prints with over-sized coats, socks, heels, scarves and huge bags, looking fresh and really stylish. Marni does clothes for the “I don’t know what to wear, so I will wear something” days, and I love it. What do you think of this vibrant, colourful style?
Sharply. JW Anderson Pre-Fall’14
I must admit, J.W. Anderson is smart. His androgynous fashion is definitely not time consuming for him- a week ago, on his menswear shows, Anderson showed panelled turtlenecks in different colours. And guess what- the same turtlenecks are for women in his Pre-Fall’14 collection. The collection feels a bit oriental with it’s kimono structures. The sharpness of all coats and dresses is… indeed sharp, hust like the title of this post. I also liked the colour palette that is very calm and delicate. Zennnnnnn…

Girl’s Rules. No.21 Pre-Fall’14
Allesandro Dell Acqua of No.21 knows what women really want from fashion- timeless pieces kept in casual colours with an interesting touch. And the Pre-Fall’14 was not any other- this is the reflection of cool Milanese street style that women desire. From easy-to-go sweatshirts with checked shirts to affordable flowless dresses, here is everything you need for a stylish day. What I love about No.21’s attitude is combining simple skirts with lace sweaters or sequined dress with slip-ons. No.21’s perfection is not kept in practicality, but in the beautiful details!
