Once, an apron used to be a must-have of every house-wife. Now, it’s a dress-like piece of clothing which storms the runways and look-books of fashion designers who blur the borders between utility dressing and ready-to-wear. From Miu Miu to Simone Rocha, the spring-summer 2016 runways were filled with organza sheaths and apron-like outerwear. For the upcoming autumn, Preen by Thornton Bergazzi gave us a set looks filled with voluminous, sheer skirts and dresses. Time for a new season clean up! Or at least, a fresh, Christmas eve outfit inspiration.
