The SS14 from Fendi was all about Summer fun- flowless beach dresses, beautiful red tops and amazing detailing. And… Well, of course fur. But Fendi collection is not Fendi without even a bit of fur. This season was very important for Fendi. After Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi restorated together with City of Rome the Trevi Fountain, in Italy Fendi is not only a expensive label for rich women. It’s also a national jewel, sponsor of most cultural landscapes restorations in Rome! And thats really good! Coming back to the collection, I adored it strongly. The detailing is impressive, but at the same time it seems so cool and youthful… Karl knows how to shake up something correctly. Always. And I love him for this.
Rome
Milan: BULGARI, the Eternity.

So, here I am after some Dolce Vita in Tuscany in the buzzing fashion and design city of Milano! My hotel (SOON) is very much connected to that jewellery label that I will shortly introduce you in this post! Bulgari is known to most people only from one side- the high price. But forgetting of the shopping part, history of Bulgari can be discovered by everyone!
It all started in 1884 when Sotirio Bulgari opened a large boutique called with his name on Via Condotti in Rome. The brand had many crisises, but within the time it was spreading all over the country and then Europe.

After sometime, big super stars came to be wearing the most luxurious products- clients like Marilyn Monroe, Veruschka, Grace Jones and Elizabeth Taylor (that played Cleopatra in Bulgari jewels!) wore Bulgari everyday and on every event. The famous girdle in the shape of a serpent was commissioned by Diana Vreeland, the eccentric Vogue US fashion editor who was known for wearing oversized clothes. Well, these surrealistic pearls were totally into her awesome style!

The biggest ever made diamond at Bulgari had 66 carats and was given as a present to Elizabeth Taylor, a many year face of the brand. Well, it was really big, and for sure made lots of thieves interested… So, after many years of hard work of Bulgari and catching an eye of clients, it got it’s new boutique on jewellery kingdom- Place Vendome in Paris, next to Tiffany & Co., Cartier and Van Cleef Arpels.
Rome’s Sky

My favourite thing about Rome are all the cathedrals and churches. And their beautiful interiors! The Byzantine wall ornaments showing the bible, Michael Angelo paintings, and the richness of Roman culture. It always make feel so fresh… My favourite place in Rome is the Church of Maria Traverse that has a beautiful wall on the top… And Vatican’s treasures are mind blowing…

And it’s again Dolce & Gabbana inspiration- Byzantine decorations or AW13!
Artichokes and Fruits in Rome

In the Jewish district of Rome that is know for the Jerusalem artichokes I tried this great speciality- I was shocked with it’s taste! The inside was really delicious and the outside was fried and oily. In the restaurant I ate these (sorry I don’t remember the name!) you could even see how Roman’s peel artichokes and beans. And what’s worth to mention is that the bulbs of these artichokes are as big as head!

And the real Dolce Vita food was at feet of Colosseum- the fruity market! For sure it was a inspiration for Dolce Gabbana this summer! The colour blast and fruits… So juicy they look!
From Rome With Love

I’m in Rome for a while and I have a real spring blast! Flowers, warm weather, art, beautiful architecture… So Dolce Vita! On the Spanish Stairs the flowers already bloomed. It’s so warm I just can’t describe it! On Via Condotti the Prada and Dolce Gabbana already have new fresh windows… It’s just amazing. And the buildings around… These religious details and paintings on the ancient walls of houses, fruits, greenery (this building that is whole in leafs is mind blowing!) and lots of orange around. My favourite colour!
