Marques Almeida / Advent 2014

Slide07

December 19: Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida are a lovely couple which makes the most eccentric denim (and not only) fashion in the world. Playing with volumes, colours and vibes, since the beginning Marques Almeida has been acclaimed by fashion editors as the new “go-to” brand of the year. My favourite thing that they did for 2014, was their crazy, very strong AW14 collection, where the designers had fun with fur stoles! Marta and Paulo also created a “spark”, making their signature fabric get really important on the London fashion scene.

The Row / Advent 2014

December 16: The Olsen sisters make The Row super coveted not only it’s so luxurious- it’s also super wearable. You can wear one of their sweaters for so many years. It’s basically like Celine, but based in New York. The clothes, bags and shoes are always styled in smart way, and their Resort 2015’s model – Jamie Bochert – works the outfits in a moody, sophisticated way.

Christophe Lemaire / Advent 2014

December 14: Christophe Lemaire got big plans for 2015- he left Hermes to expand and concentrate on his own label, Christophe Lemaire. The eponymous label is known for luxurious approach, best quality cashmeres and wool, simple styling and comfortable day-wear. Lemaire also brought a major trend to AW14: wearing your second sweater knotted around your neck is not a big deal anymore, it’s just the matter of good taste. Can’t wait what this French guy is going to introduce next year!

Simone Rocha / Advent 2014

December 13: What I like about Simone Rocha, the London-based female deisigner, is her ironic romance kept in her clothes- a pearl-applied dress might seem to be naive, but in relity it shows a lot of body; the florals she intensively used in her SS15 weren’t just florals you imagine- that was a strong connection to her Korean grandmothers way of dressing and Irish parents conceptual style. This girl got secrets…

Jacquemus / Advent 2014

December 12: One thing you can say for sure about Jacquemus: The brand’s attitude of youthful exuberance is not affected. Exaggareated silhouettes? Yes. Naive mood? Checked. Simon is just a cool Parisian kid making cool clothes for stylish girls. And not only for the 25-and-lower the age scale.
