Paris: Day 8

Ok. The first thing, today that caught my eye were the new Chanel shoes from Resort 2013. They look really great, they have a real Street Style feeling!

20121109-073109 PM.jpg
That was the most “touristic” day! I went to… three museums! All of them were great, full of interesting pieces and topics!
1. Le Pinacoteque De Paris: Van Gogh and Hiroshige “Reves de Japon” and Denis Rouvre “Low Tides”
Both expositions were inspired with Japan. In the first one, were the Dutch artists paintings were compared to Hiroshige’s, we could see some big similarities between both very different artists. We are talking about the tematics and positions of objects and people in the art pieces.

Denis Rouvre’s photographies of Japanese people after the disaster in 2011 were really great because of perfect photography skills and people. That was mine favourite exposition today!

2. Gagosian Gallery: Rudolf Stingel
Nice, but I didn’t understand the sence of those gold “strange” things…

And Jeff Koons

The last but not least, Palais de Tokyo and the Chloe Attitude exhibition’s for the label 60 years.
The exposition of photos and clothes was amazing. All the dresses were awesome and I really liked the way their were presented.

For lunch I went to Hotel Costes that’s totally the same as L’Avenue. So it must be good.

20121109-075909 PM.jpg
As for a shop with GOOD things I recomend warmly La Pistacherie where you can buy every type of pistaccio and nuts, from sicilian pistachio to green pistachio.

20121109-080058 PM.jpg
For the last dinner we went to L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. It’s the best restaurant in Paris for me! And I ❤ Paris the most of all. I hate the thought, that I need to departure tomorrow… No! Paris is full of fashion, restaurants, art and it’s atmosphere is even better than NY. I am really sad to leave you, City of Love!😥
J’adore Paris…

Paris: Day 5

20121106-072313 PM.jpg

Today wasn’t really an energetic day full of celebs and so on, however there was a lot of walking… In the lobby of Mandarin Oriental, there were some beautiful roses! They had such a beautiful scent… 20121106-065419 PM.jpg
And then was the best thing… I bought an amazing, over sized coat by Kenzo! It is made from wool and it is in real Parisian Style.

20121106-070122 PM.jpg
Then after a poor lunch in Heriard, on Place Madelaine there was a new window of Chanel with Little Black Jacket. And then we enter to trendy A.L.C were I found some nice, modern clothes in quite low prices.

20121106-070535 PM.jpg
After, I found the minimalistic shops of Comme des Garcons on Saint Honore. There was a CdG Museum full of strange and edgy designs! Next to it there was a shop of Damir Doma the new star of fashion. The boutique was really interesting, full of wood, concrete, black and grey. The clothes that were a bit sporty and dark were really expensive.

Then, quickly ran to the Celine boutique, that is also full of minimalism and concrete. There Lena bought a new Celine sweater and a knitted dress. Oh, and before it, we visited Christian Louboutin. And we had to stand in a really, really long line to enter there. In reality, there was nothing special, except the Japonais Loafers…

20121106-071609 PM.jpg
And here is my old hotel on Av. Montaigne, Plaza Athenee Hotel.

20121106-071658 PM.jpg
WOW! Le Substance Agape is a marvelous restaurant. We were all sitting together behind on table with other people. I met so much new people! And about the food: delicious! And crazy…

Paris: Day 4

The essential thing today was the Azzedine Alaia boutique on Rue Moussy. It’s connected with the workshop of Alaia and in past the shop was a warehouse of a commercial centre. And… I met Azzedine Alaia and said to him “Hello” and he answeared “Bonjour!” I was really excited about that… The clothes that were made by hand of Alaia and his workers are so beautiful and with such a good quality. I am so happy I was there… And here are some pics from the shop and clothes:

I am still really happy! The next person that I met was… Kate Winslet! OMG. OMG. OMG. That was so nice and short! I didn’t even have chance to take a photo. But here I’ve got a great photo of Lena in Celine, Gucci and Reed Krakoff:

20121105-081112 PM.jpg
And after I went to Diptyque store that sells candles and creams:

20121105-081200 PM.jpg
And then… COLETTE! Oh yes! It is a minimalist temple of cult of the ultra trendy Saint Honore. Colette is dedicated to modern high fashion, jewellery, as well as books, magazines and others fashionable objects. And the best part is the T-Shirt section and small articles and culture. Brands like Comme Des Garcons, Thom Browne, Mary Katrantzou, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Carven and Proenza Schoulers are there. I bought the Garage Magazine by Dasha Zhukova and the Impossible Project Polaroid Paper. What to say more: I love it as always.

20121105-082116 PM.jpg

20121105-082129 PM.jpg
After I was at the Yohji Yamamoto shop and DsQuared2. At the end there was the Chanel shop on Rue Cambon with the Cruise 2013 clothes.

20121105-105634 PM.jpg
For dinner I had L’Atelier Etoile on Champs Elysees. It was super! I loved it! I ordered four small degustative dishes: chicken with white truffles, black cod, scallops in pumpkin soup, burger with foie gras. Here are photos: PS This restaurant is the most trendy one in Paris and you sit behind a big bar.

Paris: Day 2

That was a great day in Paris! I had so much fun today and so much shopping! First place where I went was the Chanel boutique on the Rue Cambon (I was writing about it yesterday) and Lena was looking at a great little blue jacket… Then the next destination was KENZO! I love Kenzo! All the clothes were so great- I bought cool bordeaux shoes with orange sole from the runway and a beautiful scarf in green and orange colours! Here are the pics from Place Madeleine boutique-

Then I walked to Gucci and Lanvin (photos were yesterday) and visited Givenchy on Saint Honore.

20121103-090210 PM.jpg
I thought this jewellery at Givenchy was great:

20121103-090302 PM.jpg
After shopping I went to the L’Avenue on Montaigne. And the food was there as always delicious! I ordered great chicken spring rolls and butterfly chicken:

20121103-090519 PM.jpg
After I had a long walk on Avenue Montaigne: first I went to Celine, then to brand new Chanel- that was amazing. The walls were gold, tables were gold, chimneys, Chanel Boys, little black jackets…Aah… Then I went to the Market Montaigne (cool shop, but no sizes) and at the end in the Dolce&Gabanna! Oh and there was also Balenciaga and Givenchy.

Paris Fashion Week SS12 Higligths

Dior- Raf Simon’s debut. Our favorite Dior collection that was shown in those 10 years! Minimalism mixed with sequins and great lite materials and colours. Those are clothes for women to buy and wear. We are totally for YES to Raf Simons!Saint Laurent- The next hot debut but not as good as the first one. Hedi Slimane for YSL. In other words, wild west and sexy cowgirls. For me nothing new, however world critics graded it for a 5+. Alber Elbaz told as it was “very YSL”, Pierre Berge said that Hedi understood the style of YSL and Kate Moss ensured as that she wants everything from the show.Chalayan- A great collection. The mix of prints, casual denim on dresses and does extraordinary hats are just the key trend for this summer. Louis Vuitton- Oh My God. A total fail. Too much of colourful check patterns, colourful pants, colourful shoes and tops!!! The only interesting thing about the show was that the models were transported by the elevators. Marc, next time have bigger distance to colours and check pattern!Celine- Till now I don’t understand, what was sitting in the head of Philo Phoebe when she was designing those clothes. We know she was pregnant, but the hormon storm doesn’t change anything! Those are not ironic projects, controled kitch. This is just a fashion horror.  This is unfortunately one of the worst collection for this season. However the bags are wonderful!Alexander McQueen- Honey bees were in the details at Alexander McQueen’s spring 2013 collection, which drew inspiration from queen bees presiding over the nest. Gold collars shaped like bee clusters and hexagonally-woven hats seemed both ominous and protective on the runway. But what caught our eyes were the regal details like this red cotton off-the-shoulder dress, reminiscent of the neckline and sleeves popularized under Queen Victoria’s reign and updated with a plunging v-neck. And that was a really interesting collection, I should say!Balenciaga- The inspiration of the show- ballette show of Murice Ravel, Bolero ( when Cristobal Balenciaga, his label was designing in 30’s the costumes for the show). The skirts with flounces, and white tops are making as thinking about classical Spain, and the peaceful and delicate coloristic makes it more modern.Felipe Olivier Baptista- I see here a brand new hot brand on horizon! It is Olivier Baptista. This season he showed as creative ways of wearing spoty, French chick with classical beige sandals and colourful prints.Miu Miu- We understand that Miuccia Prada love sfurs, but that doesn’t mean we need to see at Miu Miu’s Summer collection! The colours are very dull and unpleasant, those safrocs and pijamas are the best for a cold nigts and I still can’t understand what the hell was the main topic of the collection… I liked more the Prada collection for this season- however the shoes there were much more worst than those here.

Stella McCartney- Sporty, fresh and modern. We LOVE it! Paul McCartney, Stella’s dad, said that the collection was “quite wholy”! :)Maison Martin Margiela- Quite boring collection. Minimalism to the power of 2. Clothes were unfashionably too big on models. However it was quite “kind to an eye”. I mean, have a look at LV show and compare with MMM.Chanel- One of the best shows. Clothes were classical but with a note of youth and modern.  The colours and shades are perfect for summer, and we know already that the pearls are bag in fashion. This collection is great from lots of reason but this one is for sure the truth- it is Chanel!

Fashion show is unfortunately finished. There were lots of good and bad collections for summer… We saw New York, Milan, London and Paris and in reality all were super cool!!!
