Art of Miuccia. Prada SS14

Milan Fashion Week has always one label that I would most love to see first. And it’s of course Prada. But what kind of Prada- Miuccia really outdid herself for Summer 2014. The collection was all about Italian modern artists, and specifically, Italian female artist. The venue of the show was all covered with a kind of graffiti representing women in different sceneries- one in a jungle, second in a pink background. But all of them had one thing in common- their edgy way of dressing!
First look, first impressions- difficult colours for Summer and prints of women on skirts. Wow. Then embroideries. Then fur (just like Summer ago. Yes, this collection about geishas…) coats and again amazing prints. I thing this is one of the most collector edition season by Miuccia- well, every collection of Prada is like a limit edition, but this is really the type that is just begging to be found in wardrobe. Even one of these cute clutches or pair of these crazy shoes! This collection is simply… A piece of art that can be worn one women! Applause for Prada!!! ❤❤❤

Heritage. No.21 SS14

20130919-073633 AM.jpg
No.21 is a label, that after few years when it was totally forgot, now is again pounding full with new Milanese chic under the wings of Allesandro Dell’ Aqua! I should say, that the SS14 collection from the designer is a masterpiece. Beautiful lace skirts, embroidered shirts and printed tops were seen with laser cuts and florals. The collection was simple, but the key is in detail. What I loved most was on of these looks with an amazing green laced dress and creme top- so light and made with best, Italian quality. I am definitely waiting for from Mr. Dell Aqua at this small, but stylish label from Milan!

Pearls. Simone Rocha SS14

20130917-092722 PM.jpg
The new collection from London’s hottest new talents, Simone Rocha, is a remastered Coco Chanel look mixed with Film Noir aesthetics and Marilyn Monroe girlie looks- in other words, the element that was everywhere at Rocha’s SS14 collection? Pearls. Pearls everywhere! On dresses, trousers pockets, bags, shoes… Simone Rocha sewed them even on her classical dress with a lace ruffle! This is possibly the strongest collection of John Rocha’s daughter to date with it’s mature touches like elegant mini evening dresses with pearl collars and fantastic tomboy shoes… But it still was very Rocha- not too girlie and not too sophisticated- in other words, super comfortable and easy to wear!

Rhapsody. Jonathan Sunders SS14

20130916-082604 AM.jpg
This was really a Summer of love for the SS14 Jonathan Saunders collection. This British designer had a mind-blowing rhapsody of colour, flowers and patterns in his best to date collection. I simply fell in love with everything from this collection- the shirts with transparent florals, the rodeo inspired jackets, flowless dresses for every Summer night out, and the shoes… The colours were typical for Saunders- his classical bordeaux and the blue neons. After seining this collection, I just want to say I miss Summer too bad…

England. Mary Katrantzou SS14

20130915-090138 PM.jpg
Mary Katrantzou’s SS14 collection was all about… Yeah, prints and… England! The queen of prints again mastered this what she does best, and this happened- brogues (type of shoes for men that are hand-made in England) and lots of English gardens appeared on fantastic dresses created by Mary. The collection indeed is very beautiful- I really like the topic of shoes covering dresses- that sounds a bit strange. But this V neck dress looks really good. The next dresses covered all over with fairy-tale gardens looked too amazing. Jackets, tops and trousers looked like flower-bombs and additionally decorated with printed gems, it looked even more spectacular. What’s most exciting about this collection, is that all these prints are so 3-D… And at the same time they don’t make the women silhouette visually look fatter! Why? It’s all thanks to amazing Mary Katrantzou.
