Deja Vu. Dior AW14

Slide01O-oh. I understand Raf’s aesthetic is so minimalistic, feminine and innovative… but this starts to get boring what he does at Dior. And most of all, what he done at AW14. This is his biggest fail since he came to this Parisian maison. It’s too new new look, too minimalistic and too passe. Seriously, see the first Raf Simons collection for the house (SS13) and now see this. Firsly, these coloured bags and scarves looked nice on masculine suits and those pretty to death dresses at the start of new legacy… But now we are sinking in the monotony of Raf Simons straight rules. Nothing caught my eyes here- the colours looked bad, the tied strings on dresses looked bad, the green column gown was a deja vu from Jil Sander past, and the last dresses with crystals are copies of the last Haute Couture for SS14… Does Raf thinks he is so legendary to create an “account” collection? I say “no”. And we certainly need something new to come.

Serious Florals. Marni AW14

20140224-052213-PM.jpgMarni AW14 was a celebration of it’s 20th Anniversary- and it’s designer Consuelo Marni surely needs to be proud. The label brings to fashion world fun and edgy Italian coolness each season! And, the recent collection was a remix of Marni’s biggest hits- florals, fur stoles, colourful layered clothing. And all the shoes are masterpieces worn with those socks… The biggest surprise were the ethnic furs- looked seriously epic. Just like the cubical robe dresses. At Marni, fashion is always ‘directly entertaining. So- Happy Birthday!

Michał Mrzygłód

20131020-084119 PM.jpg

Today at the amazing fashion fair here in Poznan, Poland, I had a pleasure to meet Michal Mrzyglod, the designer of a fresh label Mrzyglod. This London based label created by this young, amazing designer, is a mixture of street style influence, hi-tech fabrics and Polish folklore cut-outs but are made thanks to laser in Michal’s designs. As he shows his impressive pieces on male model, I would rather say that they are more unisex- definitely they are looking great on women. What I loved in his new collection that I saw today in live at the Hush fashion fair, is the youthful energy, strong colours and the practicality that is thanks to fabrics created by the designer. There is a big use of nowadays hottest material, neoprene and lots of salmon leather attached to sweatshirts and bags. Oh, and the shoes… These look really cosmic! If talking of Polish/London fashion scene, Michal Mrzyglod is the name to watch!

Love. Celine SS14

celine1For me the most “holy” part of Fashion month is always the Celine show. It’s Phoebe Philo who does the big controversy, amazingness, aah an oh thing every season. And this season… CELINE WAS THE BEST COLLECTION OF ALL. You can do whatever, but it is the best for me this season. First of all the way of approach of new season- something about tribal chic, out of this world shoes with architectural heels in Zaha Hadid style, beautiful prints and magnifying colours. From minimalistic coats, you can find printed tops and even some awesome tribal inspired jewellery… The bags. The shoes. Everything is so impressive and hot that I would need a whole day to describe all my emotions. In other words thats all so… Amazing! How did Phoebe connected all of those usually difficult elements into one, beautiful part? She is a real fashion genius. Artistic images via Electric Soiree.

Disco Party. Lanvin SS14

Slide1-kopiaThat was a very classical Lanvin collection- dresses, jackets, t-shirts with skirts- ant that all in energetic metallic fabrics! Well, that was surely not the best Lanvin, but it wasn’t bad. I loved the Great Gatsby inspired dresses- in reality, the collection was like a loud party under Jay Gatsby’s roof. Everything was kitschy and full of splendour… and what a bit suprised me, pretty warm as for Summer. But still, the collection was nothing spectacural, although cool. Very Lanvin!
