Other than monastery libraries, synagogues and castles, Prague has some very exciting spots to eat and shop at. See my five favourite addresses from the Czech Republic’s capital city!

Make sure to book your table at Sansho – it’s ex-Nobu London chef Paul Day’s place. Locals will tell you Day cooks some of the best Asian cuisine in town, with dishes that take you to the taste heaven, from salmon sashimi and soft shell crap slider (Sansho’s cult signature) to ocra tofu sambal and a not-so-average curry offering. The minimal, cozy interior is a leap away from Prague’s widespread ‘over-the-top’ style of gourmet restaurants. A must, must visist!

Petrská 1170/25

Space has an eclectic selection of international brands, from Dries Van Noten to Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. I really loved the way the clothes hang on the racks – already styled and layered up.

Vězeňská 6

You just can’t go by Metamorphosis and not stop for a flower bouquet (consisting of my favourite dahlias or hydrangeas). Might be the best flower shop in the entire city.

Haštalská 796/3

Antik Cafe Dlouhý Příběh is a multi-purpose spot. At the entrance you can buy some home-made jams and cured meat. In the eating space, try out the typically Czech cuisine. The interior is purely vintage, as every furniture is hand-picked from a flea market. Oh, and you can buy the lamp you fancy – from the most kitsch to the most Communist-like.

Dlouhá 37

Ok, that’s something you can expect from me, wherever I am. Céline, still with the accent. Last Phoebe Philo pieces are still here (but few sizes left), just as the pre-Hedi autumn-winter 2018 collection. Loved the concrete staircase. Run for that silk, over-sized shirt with fruit print!

Sonny

Sonny is the place where you will drink the Instagram-famous Golden Latte – which, in fact, is a combination of turmeric, lemon, ginger and chamomile. The taste can be described as some sort of spicy rhapsody. And the energy boost might be compared to a cup of good espresso! Other than that, Sonny is a daytime place, favoured by the Copenhagen locals. The menu contains regulars, like avocado toast, but not only. Try their signature Sonny Salad, full of vitamins from fresh and crispy ingredients. The Spicy Tuna is a semi-sandwich, which I found especially nutritious. The interior, which is quintessentially Copenhagen – beautiful details, lots of vintage furniture, cozy seatings – is a perfect backdrop for lunch.

Sticks ‘n’ Sushi in Berlin

Just a few steps from Andreas Murkudis and Acne Studios, there’s the two-storey heaven called Sticks ‘n’ Sushi. Although I rarely go to restaurant chains, this one from Copenhagen is an absolute exception. Opened more than a year ago in Berlin, this place has the most refined sushi (and other Japanese specialties) in the city. From the signature rice paper rolls and beef tataki with yuzu sauce to wagyu tartare and the most sensational versions of maki, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi pleases with freshness and inventiveness. Also, I really love the atmosphere in here, which makes me think of New York and those crowdy, stylish Sex & The City-like restaurants. If only the prices could be slightly lower! Still, they’re totally justified, as the quality of every single plate is perfect. And that matcha for dessert…

If looking for something more ‘casual’, but equally good in Berlin, go to Sasaya (good luck with booking a table there, though…).

I am an Instagram maniac and I openly confess that I spend too much time on filtering my feed. But it’s irresistible, when you have so many great accounts to follow! If you are ready for a dose of beautifully curated walls, inspiring photos and delightful shots – see my August recommendations!

@apollo_bar / It’s not only the local fashion week that makes me want to visit Copenhagen so badly. It’s also Frederik Bille Brahe’s restaurant, Apollo Bar. The place serves breakfasts, brunches, lunches, dinners and cocktails in its simple, but chic space. Even if I’ve never been to the place, I know the menu visually. From oysters and artichokes to octopuses and various scallops, Apollo really, really makes you drool over everything. Plus, the delicious photos from this restaurant’s Instagram tempt as well.

@establishmentny / If you want to know the models of the seasons to come, follow this New York-based agency. From the well-known names, like Adwoa Aboah and Edie Campbell, to new-comers (like Adesuwa), Establishment sets the most brilliant model castings. Love their backstage pics from fashion weeks, too!

@missmellowwarsaw / Warsaw’s hottest cake and dessert shop. Brioche toasts to meringue tarts, Miss Mellow is a sweet treat, that’s for sure. I’ve got that matcha cake on my radar for a while…

@stella_vonsenger / Stella Vonsenger is the antidote to all those serious influencers, it-girls and bloggers that are all over the ‘gram. Whether in a candy-cotton pink Cecilie Bahnsen dress or front-row, Stella radiates with so much joy and care-free energy. Expect the most unobvious outfits from this Berliner.

@sssuerose / Whoever this person is, I love him / her. The daily dose of sweetness, coming straight from Korea’s best patisseries, is my daily obsession. I would indulge myself in every single bite of that peach cake… just like in all that matcha goodness. This Instagram account makes my day, like, everyday.

Bologna’s Addresses

I first wrote about Bologna, the city itself, separately right here. But it wouldn’t be me if I omitted the ‘guide’ part… so, treat yourself this Monday afternoon with the five addresses from the hometown of Bolognese sauce. And take a pen to write down those places, just in case you’re planning your August trip there.

Drogheria Della Rosa

In my humble opinion, that’s the best restaurant in Bologna. Located in a former pharmacy, the food here is quintessentially Italian and feels like made by your grandma from Bologna whose existence was unknown to you for all these years. Yes, it’s that good. It’s highly recommended to make a reservation.

L’Inde Le Palais Donna & Uomo

Céline, Gucci, Dries Van Noten and Magda Butrym in the fanciest, palazzo-like interiors. Very lovely customer care. And a truly unique selection of womenswear and menswear, which was quite unexpected – most luxury multibrands in Italy sell precisely the SAME stuff, from the same labels. Here you can notice the presence of a risk-taking buyer.

Camera Con Vista

Although the opulent interior with Roman statues and few chandeliers might suggest old, good Italian cuisine, Camera Con Vista surprises with its signature, Asian additions to nearly every dish. If you feel like you want to slightly change the culinary repertoire, make sure to try this place out. Book in advance.

Ratti & Folli Follie

That’s another luxury multibrand in Bologna, with an equally charming selection of brands – Simone Rocha and Calvin Klein are here, just to name a few. Fashion in Bologna loves a major interior. While the menswear part, Ratti, is cosmic-industrial, women’s Folli Follie is a multi-storey, XXL wardrobe where it’s easy to get lost while looking for a Balenciaga goodie (that’s probably on a heavy discount, by the way).

Groovy spot for an evening appetizer and drink. But rather a pre-spot to go just before dinner.
