Sweetly, Ladurée.

Don’t get me wrong – it’s not that I’ve suddenly discovered Ladurée out of the blue and thought it’s worth sharing. Ladurée is a Parisian landmark, a cult patisserie. There’s no need to introduce it. Everything is so sweetly aesthetical here, from the pastel-pink plates to perfume flacons. And coming here for breakfast means that your ultimate French breakfast dream comes true. During fashion week, Ladurée on rue Royale is a perfect morning spot for gossips. While eating my eggs Benedict served on a crispy brioche, I’ve overheard how a pack of PRs devastated a Dior person’s career, bitterly complaining about her ‘terrible, terrible’ incompetence. How mean. How fashion!

Andre Saraiva / Advent 2014

Slide5

December 6: Andre Saraiva, the French artist is not only a party beast I would love to meet on a big event, but also a painter who makes streets look hyper and cooler with his iconic MR.A! Andre’s character is always cheerful, smiley and… a bit tipsy, in a good way.

Berlin: The Celine Pre-Fall

In the new Celine section in Kadewe, Berlin, the Pre-Fall collection arrived. Well, should say that on pictures all these clothes and shoes look real good- but live- and mostly the shoes!- it all looks horrible. First of all, the lacquered shoes with gold plate on it are very hard. The plate is additionally removable, and it looks like a typical men’s shoes! The black/white wedges are also a tragedy! The rubber wedge is made definitely from a tire or something because the odour from it is saw disgusting! The only cool thing was the thatched hat from the collection that is made in France! It is saw French! And stylish! But still, very not practical.

Fashion is Art, Art is Fashion

20130613-084517 PM.jpg

Fashion was and is and will be influenced by art and design. How? In geometry, form, fabric, color, flower detail, a paint spot. The Louis Vuitton SS13 was all influenced by Daniel Buren geometric installations. The most dirty punk collection of AW13- Saint Laurent- had the flower motives from Yves Saint Laurent private collection of furniture. Givenchy Pre Fall 13 collection add by the way print similarities to the CH07 by Hans Wegner armchair! In this crazy art world of trends, changes, cults, everything has it’s replacement. If we talk of Eames chairs I think of a Givenchy SS13 dress and Jil Sander AW12 coats that are so lite and delicate. Just like Ray and Charles Eames furniture! Oh, and my less known to most interest are of course furnitures and specifically- chairs!

Family of Givenchy

20130523-064109 PM.jpg
Riccardo Tisci always takes to his campaigns the closest friends and people that are important for him: like last season that was Kate Moss, Marina Abramovic and Mariacarla Boscono with her newborn baby! He joined his power with Mert & Alas Pigott to take this fantastic shoot full of family charm in punk version and simple beauty. Amanda Seyfriend was here in the Bambi Killer (I call it like this 🐼) outfit looking so beautiful and naturally… There was also Carine Roitfeld with her daughter Julia, who didn’t really look like a typical family- Carine was mind blowing! She looked so fresh and I would say… french!
