Fire. Miu Miu RE16

Paris was on fire yesterday! And not just because of the weather. Miu Miu had its Resort 2016 staging in a “Miu Miu Club” and Miuccia Prada truly outdid herself. The models, which looked like cool girls who “club” on Friday nights, wore layers of polos, python leather jackets and circle-shaped earrings which brought the mood of 80’s. And, yes, the logomania is on. The elongated t-shirts and cowboy boots had big, neon coloured MIU MIU all over them. Also, there was a throwback to Miu Miu’s summer 2010 collection – naive, youthful prints of cats and swallows were on mini-dresses and A-lined skirts. Fun, fun and fun. That’s how Miu Miu is described by Signora Prada. Definitely, today’s fashion needs some fun. And Miuccia approves.

Selling Feminism. Chanel SS15

Karl Lagerfeld tried doing feminism after a super-market and space odyssey shows. And it felt so, so fake. If you spread feminism through fashion, then at list use more than three models of colour. Use plus-size models and not only the glossy Cara Delevigne and Georgia May Jagger combo which are skinny and “perfect”. It’s not feminism, Karl. It’s just giving a bunch of girls few posters with signs like Boys should also be pregnant or He for She. Showing this, and saying that it’s feminism, seems to be really funny and silly comparing to what, for example, happens in Turkey or Russia. These women really fight for women’s rights. Maybe I shouldn’t connect the fashion thing with politics, but using too big words for too small things isn’t a good matter for an important aim. And by the way- how many women in the world can buy every three months a one-season-only Chanel bag? I thing something is wrong up here… let’s just stay with one thing: MAKE FASHION in fashion (but unfortunately, even the horrible clothes didn’t help the whole collection out of the situation).

Men’s: Fun Time. Thom Browne SS15

Thom Browne is possibly the biggest kid of the men fashion scene. And the SS15 is just the prove! The collection was full of colours, funny embroidery… models wore mutated suits, socks embroidered with butterflies, plastic, transparent masks and vibrant prints! In the middle of the show, there was a bunch of blindfolded models wearing classical, grey Browne smokings, taking a nap. Many things are unclear about this collection, but one thing is sure- it was a real toyland!

Pop It! Moschino Resort’15

I am worried. Jeremy Scott is cool and popped-up but I am scared that more than 10 different ideas in on RESORT collection is too much. Reminding his first Moschino AW14 show that was really all about McDonalds, now we may choose from Pepsi logo dresses to bandana bras and cute cupcake jackets. I pretty much like the collection (“Shirt happens!” is my favourite outfit…) but if Jeremy won’t slow down the tempo, he might get out of ideas. Although it’s guaranteed that everybody is going to wear one of these fun t-shirts or sexy MOSCHINO underwear. Plus, thumbs up for Charlotte Free as a model!
