31st of November. The city is dark. The skycrapers are off. It’s so dark, but at the same time… mysterious. Down the road in Paris, you go- it’s kind of artistic and elusive. All these people around look disturbing. Their costumes seem to be strange and not usual. VERY unusual. They all wear Comme des Garcons for SS14, which is amazingly amzaing, and at the same time creepy. Definitely some thing cool for Halloween horror fashion moment…

“Things” We Saw at SS14
As the Summer 2014 fashion month ended, there are new trends, rumours and facetious moments being summoned on different blogs and magazines. But, here, you will find the strangest, scariest, funniest, inhumane, and coolest things of the season! The venues, shoes, beauty and clothes were taken under consideration, so simply enjoy! Marco Zanini, who had his last season at Rochas, presented an awful collection inspired with… well everything. I was never a fan of Rochas, but this season it was really eerie to watch this. The above shoes with crystal backs and shaggy front are really creeping out. How is it possible to walk in these? C’mon, Celine yellow fluffy heels last Summer were better!
Pat McGrath spent 12 hours on doing these masks at Givenchy with 40 other people. Isn’t it a bit of time-consuming beauty trend? It’s definitely art, but surely it won’t rule at DIY blogs this season. You need Pat McGrath to do it, of course.
There was something yeti like about Gareth Pugh SS14 wigs.
Jean Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton (whose designer, Marc Jacobs says bye-bye to us after 16 years) are trending this season a very interesting trend- denim worn under skirts. That seems pretty cool… and definitely mixed up!

Marc Jacobs in New York was a fashion epoque mash-up. Victorian era mixed with a beach party and Coca-Cola? I totally buy it. And the blond wigs… so cool! Plus, Cara Delevigne, Edie Campbell, Charlotte Free, Sky Ferreira and Georgia May Jagger where there.
Proenza Schouler presented a beautiful coat made out of… well, a rug? Who cares, it’s still beautiful. And this clutch…
Seriously, is Sonia Rykiel’s weather forecast is so bad for Summer? Are we goings to wear fur scarves around Paris soonly? Hopefully no, but… This fur looks awesome with these boudoir dresses.

Sirens. Jason Wu SS14
For the moment, Jason Wu is my favourite collection from New York Fashion Week! With Karen Elson opening the show and some golde modern lamps around the runway, it all felt so silent and peaceful… The first looks, kept in beige shades, were all about mixing masculine tailorship with feminine cuts. The details on the skirts and dresses looked amazing, and when Karlie Kloss walked the runway in that fairy-tale dress, the only thought that is still is in mind: New York sirens. At the end there were lots of blue and tourquoise sequins that looked beautiful… I should say that Jason Wu nailed it. Really. These clothes would look lovely in a film… maybe something about luxurious yacht sailing, full of champagne and sirens in the water around? Masterpiece!
If Mendini was REI.
Yesterday in the evening I was viewing my old photographs from New York, just you know, for pleasure. But pleasure changed into inspiration. I found a small pic of a Mendini sculpture that is located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The colors, shape just stunned me. I was like, Oh my this Alessandro Mendini things is amazing. I took out my book about this designer that I bought in NY, and was like again, Oh my this is incredible. Yes, Alessandro Mendini is a amazing designer from Italy, that was not designing anything functional but just beautiful and experimental. He used some extraordinary creatures on his furniture and strong colors everywhere! He was bored with our grey existence, and decided to do something nobody else before. But, now, you for sure ask a question, why is a Comme des Garcons AW13 show snap doing on this post? Because my quirky imagination thought of this crazy collection and Mendini’s designs together! Rei Kawabuko is Comme des Garcons designer from the beginning, and her clothes are like a origami- always aesthetic and sophisticated. This season was about making a mascuine jacket an origami. Sounds strange. But as you see, looks great! And the prints plus forms are so similar to Mendini’s! Wow!
The Sense of Print
Prints are always the key element of every Altuzarra collection. Thanks to SSENSE.com, now we can explore deeeper the inspirations of Joseph Altuzarra’s magic skill of printing and embroidery in his amazing collections. Everytime he choses a colour or motive for his new print, Joseph’s mind is being influenced by travels and everyday life. It may be a jungle paradise, ethnic flower print or Nazca caligraphies. And here is a recap of Joseph’s biggest hits!
Resort 2013– Altuzarra explored culture of nomadic people, trekking into the heart of African Safari. The print that are used on the skirts, as he said, are inspired by Massai tribes. The colours were left as they are in reality- pigments of curulean blue, verillon red.
SS 2012– Joseph interprated the classic Hawaiian shirt and hulla skirt, and made it cool and very New York. The prints “contained” hibiscus flowers, parrots, liles and hyper strong colours. This paradise is very close to heart of designer because when he was a child he remembers the bird watching in California. And this is my favourite print of all! 
Resort 2013
Fall 2012- Altuzarra took us to the souks of Marrakesh when creating his prints for winter. He revisted traditional motifs of Maroccan rugs, used jacquard and tribal luxury in the coats with fox fur. The fragile silk sweaters were meant to replicate… carpet effect. When I saw it for real (it was like yesterday… :D) it looked horrrible. And that was as for me the worst collection of this designer. 
Spring 2013- The 2013 Altuzarra Collection was like a plate of Indian curry mixed with duck’s foie gras. Definitely there was too much of everything. Butterflies, India, gendarmes outfits, orthopaedic leg braces… Yes leg braces! An I’m talking about these horrifying gladiator shoes with butterflies. They really look like they were inspired with orthopaedic legs, but with some “beautiful” ornament.Then we’ve the highly tailored jackets. They look, like if they were stolen from a wardrobe of a French gendarme. But only the colours are different and the Altuzarra ones are more stylish. And if we believe Altuzarra, the print was all about vintage jewellery- Altuzarra looked to the American naturalist art movement of the 1940’s to create this print for the SS13 season.
