#InstaLOVE – February 2018

@avedonfoundation

I am an Instagram maniac and I openly confess that I spend too much time on filtering my feed. But it’s irresistible, when you have so many great accounts to follow! If you are ready for a dose of beautifully curated walls, inspiring photos and delightful shots – see my February recommendations!

@___joanneburkejewels____ / Based in-between Rome and London, Joanne Burke’s beautifully rare jewellery is like wearable art. Inspired with Ancient forms and motifs, the designer works with bronze and gold to create one-of-a-kind charms, earrings and necklaces. Note that her editions are very limited in stock – so if you want to put your hands on one of those charming, whimsical pieces, be fast! And, of course, her feed is equally dreamy.

@fjura_ / Fjura was stablished in 2005 by Simone Gooch in Sydney, and ten years later moved to London. The florist (who can fittingly be called an artist) is known for creating seasonal flower arrangements, whether in form of hand delivered bouquets or floral installations. Those are the most mesmerizing flowers out there. Can’t get enough.

@avedonfoundation / There’s no need to introduce Richard Avedon, one of the greatest photographers of humankind. I’m so glad Avedon Foundation exists on Instagram – it’s always a pleasure to revisit the master’s visuals, whether it’s Lauren Hutton in PVC or an unseen outtake.

@sarahandelman / Even thouh the cult Parisian concept store, Colette, closed its doors in December, it’s good to see through the eyes of Sarah Andelman, the co-founder. What is she up to next? Where will she go? I need to know.

@rarebookparis / I wrote about Rare Book Paris once… but it isn’t enough. The vintage books and magazines seller shared those incredible shots from an Issey Miyake catalogue recently. Too good.

Sea-Side Detox

SONY DSC

My mum and Rubi.

Frozen, winter forest. Wild beaches (the Polish sea-side is so underrated by the Poles!). Wandering off the beaten path. That’s a dreamy way of ending a year. And entering a new one! With some champagne in the historic library of Ciekocinko Palace, as well… in other words, those were immensely beautiful couple of days.

When in Gdańsk

SONY DSC

Gdańsk, a Polish port city, is beautiful – especially, during the festive season. We’ve dropped into the town on our way to the New Year’s Eve destination, and honestly, couldn’t leave for a while. All those details of the Old Market, the truly captivating architecture pearls and the jaw-dropping heights of St. Mary’s Church made us stay here till the evening. If you ever visit Gdańsk, you can’t miss Corrèze. Located in the modernised dockyard district, the restaurant induldges its guests with exquisite cuisine. Corrèze specializes in creating taste wonders out of local ingredients. We tried the fallow deer and goose giblets goulash and the Kashubian goose thigh confit – all of that was beyond! Just ike the delicious meringue cake. Also, there’s nothing better than a pre-New Years walk near the cannal with a lit view on the historic city. Gdańsk, love you.

Céline Selection

Slajd1-kopia

Since Céline opened its on-line store, it’s worth checking out their site from time to time. Even if you can’t afford one of those perfects coats or knits with foulard inserts, the brand will treat you with some very. very lovely visuals (probably taken by Juergen Teller). I’m enchanted with Charlee Fraser and the bangles shot, just like with the entire resort 2018 collection. Enjoy!

P.s. It’s official – Phoebe Philo leaves Céline. A huge, tribute post is coming up. But let’s feel the festive mood for now and leave the sorrows for later…

#InstaLOVE – December 2017

@concept21store

I am an Instagram maniac and I openly confess that I spend too much time on filtering my feed. But it’s irresistible, when you have so many great accounts to follow! If you’re ready for a dose of beautifully curated walls, inspiring photos and delightful shots – see my December (by the way, the last of 2017) recommendations!

@mrmattberman / Matt Berman’s feed is like a treasure chest of vintage moments starring Cher, Lauren Hutton and the late Johnny Hallyday. Those times…

@concept21store / My favourite Concept 21  has just reopened in a new location – and I’m more than happy to see so many great Polish designers there. Even if you’re not in Poznań, take a look at it!

@suzannekoller / The co-founder of Self Service and fashion director at Me Le Magazine du Monde, Suzanne Koller, posts the best backstage snaps you can imagine. Also, I’m always intrigued by the way she portrays Paris. That’s chic with no cliché.

@m.o.endres / That feeling when you want to move into somebody else’s house is quaranteed, once you induldge yourself in Maura Endres’ feed. Really, be careful with this one! It’s too beautiful.

@le__dauphin / ‘Glamour is terror’, according to this anonymous Insta-curator. Subversive, eerie and distubring, yet sexy – that’s how one can describe this visual diary, filled with Madonna’s underrated moments, 90s Alexander McQueen and drama-wise femme fatales. Love it.
