Python Preppy. Proenza Schouler SS15

_ON_0437

Aah, I am so in love with summer’s Proenza Schouler! It’s a total, total yum. Fringes! Python! Boxy jackets! The New Yorker spirit! With super strong colours like blue, orange and red, Jack and Lazaro overhelmed themselves. Totally. “Our version of American sportswear,” Hernandez said. Of course, that’s only the half of it. The designers may have started out with basic building blocks, but that’s not where their experiments ended up. Proenza’s parkas were made from laser-cut and color-blocked leather; polos were hand-knit, with leather panels inset across the chest. Want a T-shirt? Theirs were leather with crocheted seams. As for the leather pants, one leg was a different color than the other. The collection is simply a perfect balance- nothing to add, nothing to subtract. My favourites are the white coat, the fringe gowns (aah, they are so beautiful), the orange boxy jacket and the hand-cut sweatshirt. Really major.

Tennis Court. Ganni SS15

So here we are – Copenhagen Fashion Week! Yay! The first day just ended and we’ve already got tons of great labels and designers. The first one on the go? Definitely it’s Ganni. That youthful brand showed it’s new collection for SS15 on a tennis court, where the models wore sporty, awesome dresses and oufits. The main idea of Ganni is to create sexy and playful clothes which are not too tricky, not too fashion but very gorgeous. For the new season, we saw great pieces for active summer – white maxi dresses, green satin sweatpants, easy-to-go sequin gowns… and of course white trainers on the feet. What’s better than that? Well, only the good styling. “At Ganni we don’t believe in the idea of one single designer personifying entire collections again and again, we prefer exchanging ideas. We do that within the design team and together with other artists that inspire us. Together we blend past classics with the best of the present – to create collections that are sexy and vibrant.

Men’s. Hybrid. Calvin Klein SS15

Beige. Beige. Beige. And then a little drop of yellow; little splash of red; and the whole red / yellow / orange PVC sweatshirts appeared. That was possibly the most dynamic change of action during the whole Milan Men Fashion Week! Calvin Klein summer was a sportish collection full of casual shorts, trousers (I love the cuts) and tank tops, that went through reincarnation of their colour. “Transparency is very important to move ahead with straightforwardness and simplicity” said Italo Zucchelli, the designer. I just want to add it reminded me of Miu Miu for AW14 (these vinyl!)…

HC: DIOR SS14

Slide06 The Dior couture show for SS14 was a perfect marriage of modern elegance and sport chic. The sheer, flawless dresses made out of high-tech fabrics looked simple and comfortable, while they were worn not with classical stilettos, but with… trainers. Yes. The haute couture show was accompanied by sporty footwear. And I must admit- I am insanely in love with this idea. The new vision of couture created by Raf Simons is about paying attention to detail, but making it all comfortable… but still expensive and luxurious. As always, the collection was presented in Musee Rodin, that was for time being transformed into a white, hand sculpted room where the show took place. What I loved was the 60’s approach of prints and colours. And of course the feminine touch Raf Simons challenges every season at Dior!zdjęcie 1 Slide07 Slide08 _ON_1464.450x675 Slide09 Slide10 Slide11 Slide12

Men’s: Basketball. Givenchy AW14

Slide07Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy always openly says that he is inspired with street style while designing new collection. And this time we went to Brooklyn, where the muscular guys play basketball, listen to rap and wear all these LAKERS tank tops. The venue of the collection was all about a basketball field, with the cyber-clock and baskets… the models wore over-sized trousers, sneakers, loose jumpers and tank-tops just like Michael Jourdan. But in more fashionable way. I don’t see anything for me, but surely this will be a hit in the stores… P.s. Mariacarla Boscono is back after her pregnancy! She was a guest model of the show and as always looked fierce…zdjęcie 5 Slide08 Slide09 Slide10 Slide11 Slide12
