Would you ever expect to see Veruschka in Acne Studios‘ lookbook? I knew you would say ‘nope’. But here we are – the supermodel stars in the brand’s resort 2018 collection. Her poses are spontanous, just like Acne’s styling. “The creative process was dynamic and easy; she was almost taking over,” Jonny Johansson explained. “And this is what we want, this is what’s real.” Very American denim-on-denim gears; over-sized polo shirts over skinny, red leather pants; a checked blazer and an Acne Studios signature hoodie. Veruschka von Lehndorff, completely make-up free, seems not to care much on those striking photos. This is precisely how style works at Acne: utility meets a kind of urban non-chalance, while a person’s attitude is undoubtedly more important than the actual clothes.

From Stockholm to Copenhagen – here are my favourite collections & looks from the Scandinavian AW15!
BACK / Stockholm / Nomadic styling. Shark-tooth print. Chaotic.
Carin Wester / Stockholm / Always on point. Cute hats. Lovely textures. The python bags & shoes.
GANNI / Copenhagen / Bad girl attitude. Biker jackets. Rebellious checks.
Freya Dalsjø / Copenhagen / The fur fun. Culottes. Fluffy feet.
Mark Kenley Domino Tan / Copenhagen / Silhoettes fuse. Embroidery vesus minimal. Sharp but soft.
Carin Wester always has a fresh view on the upcoming season. After last winter’s exaggerated white tights which covered the heels, this time, for SS15, we have a neutral, beautiful collection with natural details. Buckled á la Celine belts, beige jumpsuits, over-sized tank-tops, linen trousers and green water lilies worn as jewellery are just few of the extremely good things that appeared during the show. But what I really love, is the minimal colour palette- it perfectly reflects the natural resources that Scandinavia can offer! This is a seriously good collection (hope the upcoming SS15 will be just like that, too! By the way, start- 4th of September, New York)!
“I was born in Sweden, lived there as a child, and Absolut gave me the chance to come back and exhibit my work as an artist in my home country for this very special weekend. I displayed some of my latest art at Gallery Steinsland Berliner, and hosted a dinner at Atelier Absolut after a great opening. I also brought along with me the spirit of my nightclub, Le Baron, so that the Stockholm crowd could party my way during two very special nights at the V Club!” Says Andre Saraiva of his new exhibition in Stockholm!
The exhibition was done with Maison Kitsune collaboration and is all about the Dream Concert project that Mr. A was currently working on. The famous graffiti artist from Paris naturally wrapped with a Le Baron pop-up party, which happened to come just in time to kick off Stockholm fashion week. So it was for sure lots of fun!
