Today at the amazing fashion fair here in Poznan, Poland, I had a pleasure to meet Michal Mrzyglod, the designer of a fresh label Mrzyglod. This London based label created by this young, amazing designer, is a mixture of street style influence, hi-tech fabrics and Polish folklore cut-outs but are made thanks to laser in Michal’s designs. As he shows his impressive pieces on male model, I would rather say that they are more unisex- definitely they are looking great on women. What I loved in his new collection that I saw today in live at the Hush fashion fair, is the youthful energy, strong colours and the practicality that is thanks to fabrics created by the designer. There is a big use of nowadays hottest material, neoprene and lots of salmon leather attached to sweatshirts and bags. Oh, and the shoes… These look really cosmic! If talking of Polish/London fashion scene, Michal Mrzyglod is the name to watch!

Flowers. Christopher Kane SS14

Slide06“Making flowers look new is not easy. Kane did so by dissecting the blooms’s decorative potential, quite literally. Petals were singled out as large-scale ergonomic cutouts traced in shiny patent that gave a graphic, pop effect to clean silhouettes in pastel solids and engineered lace” declared WWD after SS14 collection by Christopher Kane. Shortly: I LOVE IT TOO BAD. BEST, BEST, BEST! Everything was so amazing in this presentation. These laser cuts on dresses in flower patterns, the sweatshirts with flower cross-sections taken from Biology book, this high-tech made dresses and tops in spectrum colours. The flower biological anatomy was the key of the collection- I never thaught boring Biology lessons can be so inspiring! The emboidered petals, stems, anthers and stigmas looked fantastic on all closing dresses… and the “iron” droplets topic? Oh my, simply fantastic. Everything in this collection is so perfect and cool- why not- Christopher Kane is a real fashion genius, and I am happy Kering Group didn’t kill his spirit! Christopher Kane SS14 rules!

Beginning. Balenciaga AW13

Slide01After waiting about four months without knowledge of how will new Balenciaga under the wings of Alexander Wang look like, today in the morning, in Paris, the show began. The whole setting was in a old, but renovated Parisian building with white marble, huge mirrors, black and white tiles and spiral stairs. It gave a feeling of Balenciaga at time of Cristobal. So taking the seat with Olivier Zahm camera the show begins!Slide02Slide03It all begins with a typical Wang touch- a elegant t-shirt, black trousers, fur and mostly casual elegance. But thanks god Wang didn’t do it all in a New York way- indeed it was all so Paris! Alexander Wang continued the sophisticated minimalism of Ghesquiere with super cool fur sweatshirts that looked like white marble and black dresses with open back… Sexy but delicate.Slide05Slide04The furry sweatshirts are this seasons my favourite! They look so street style and modern! Mixed with laced leather leggins and a leather head decoration it is great! Only Wang could do it! And what about the shiny elegant dress code? I see it already on Carine Roitfeld, the real queen of french elegance!Slide06Slide07 Slide08The new model of bag is for sure the one from python witha a classical closing. It is a comfortabel handbag that is easy to wear but at the same time ideal for every event! The hit of the show was for sure the greenish jacket with shirling on sleeves and  the complete of sweater with skirt that was toatally embroidered with something that looked like paisleys! Shiny!Slide09Slide10Slide11Slide12Congratulations to Alexander Wang! Really the collection was great! I think, that Balenciaga from now on will not change diametrically, but it will be more sporty and hopefully better quality! P1050286 balenciaga_1500_0_resize_90
