Green and Wild

IMG_1984

Sometimes, it is so great to go for a short trip. To relax and breath with fresh, forest air. To see all that green and wildlife around you. If you are visiting Poland this summer, you must try out the Palace of Mierzecin, which is situated just in the centre of wilderness – rest and forget about the buzz of the big city.

Hotel Costes

I love roses. And when I see a hotel or a restaurant filled with them, I am instantly a sucker for this place. That is why Hotel Costes stole my heart during the first visit (a long, long time ago…). The interiors of this bourgeoisie-styled spot is nearly drowning in red, pink and white roses. And add to that all those velvet arm-chairs and cushions, palm trees and beautiful outdoor patio… Hotel Costes is not only a hotel, but a casual restaurant where all the Parisians meet with super-stars – during my last stay (the day Saint Laurent had its SS16 menswear show), Pierce Brosnan, Lenny Kravitz and Johnny Hallyday were all there, having a dinner. Without any bodyguards. Can you believe that? It was a great pleasure to eat a “new style” tuna tatare in a great place with really GREAT people.

Le Marais

DSC01605

Le Marais spreads across the parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements and its always full of life and happiness. I love those small details which are seen here, like the cute bouquets of flowers standing on the outdoor-cafe tables or messy, wax marked furniture in old galleries. And of course, the tiny flower shops bring on the romantic mood which is so, so typical for this aristocratic district. Here are few of the moments I captured during my long walk around Le Marais.

Alaia in Paris

The first place I visited in Paris was the brand new Alaia boutique which welcomed me with a beautiful view, full of green serenity. Monsieur Azzedine opened his outdoor patio! And this means, that the summer in Paris has officially started (having in mind its 40 deegrees today). Also, it is possible to have a cup of coffee while searching for sale treasures. Referring to himself as a ‘builder’ rather than a fashion designer and known as the King of Cling, the Tunisian-born designer’s seductive creations are favourites of Parisians.

Men’s – Globe Trotter. Haider Ackermann SS16

_ARC0029

Haider Ackermann is a globetrotter since being a small child – he was born in Columbia, spent his childhood in Ethiopia and Algeria and later in the Netherlands. But he still loves long, exotic journeys. His recent collection for SS16 is a fusion of Persian and Japanese culture, with which he has been inspired lately. But don’t think he went kimonos. The new silhouettes for men, and partially for women, were all about sharp cuts and beautiful shades of blue, gold and grey. The collection was rich in details and had this “I need everything” reaction . But the thing I enjoy the most about this oriental summer was the styling – different textures and not so banal textiles were mixed in a very stylish, Haider way. As always, a favourite of mine!
