Suno, the adorable New York based label knows how to make best quality clothes so simple and at the same time… Cool. Their AW14 was a mix of New Yorker minimalism and beautiful, Latin American traditional printing & embroidery from the past. Aztecs, Incas, Olmecs- they all found their place in this collection in posture of beautiful tops, trousers and dresses. This collection reminds me a lot of early Celine from 2008, when Phoebe Philo threw the new dimension of over-sized, large navajo styled tunics… That was a real hit back then! I certainly loved the red elements on the last looks- vibrant and radiant at the same time. Surely, Suno is a label to know about…

Classy. Jason Wu AW14
The Jason Wu collection for AW14 was… Jason Wu. Inspired with Marlene Dietrich and New York 70’s ladies, the mostly black/grey collection had few hot picks. For example the parkas. Who doesn’t like black, leather parkas with fur? Or some of these loose gowns that were rocked by Karlie Kloss and Jordan Dunn. They also seem to be a all-time classic by Jason. Surely that wasn’t one of the outstanding collection created from this designer, but here is a news: Jason Wu is the new creative director of Boss- the affordable German label known for boring simple pieces for women and men. So, maybe Jason Wu will roll it up this Wednesday… Hopefully.
Homeboy. Rag & Bone AW14

While I have some relax time here in Myanmar (and Wi-Fi connection!), I have just met the NYFW for AW14… In this tropical climate I am now, I even can’t imagine wearing these warm clothes, but I must admit, that the first show served this week, Rag & Bone, is genius. In reality, nothing new appeared here- comfortable knitwears, jackets, cool boots and coats… But Rag & Bone makes it legacy even stronger and stronger with every season. The clothes make every girl to covet for it. Everything seems… To be wearable. And stylish. The collection had also a fantastic model army in it- Joan Smalls, Georgia Jagger and Sam Rollinson had it all on the runway. And their varsity jackets with embroidered names on! Definitely that was a lovely collection.
Black Says Don’t Bother Me

I know it’s a bit out of date since Christmas fun ends today, but… Still, the Christmas feeling is not appearing to go away. The Alexander Wang’s New York flagship store in SoHO just got a Festive Season makeover. No wonder in what colour- black. Black only. The colour that is best friend of Wang. Decorated with black Christmas trees and teddy bears, the boutique looks as always raw and cold, but… Special. By this occasion, I also had a peek at the Resort 2014 collection of Alexander’s line, and just noticed how great it is for New Year Eve! Of course, it’s great for people who prefer black & white elegance than fussy-flossy sequins. Simple, sexy white dresses and black masculine suits are seen in the collection, while the shoes look comfortable and pretty cool. Worn with some silver jewellery and leather hand-bags, the outfits seem to be very occasional, but at the same time good for other events in the upcoming year…. Will you choose black for your New Year Eve galore?

DSMNY
“I love the volition that Comme des Garçons has, with no limits attached and I think that is what the industry needs: The idea that as much as the clothing is important, all other emotion’s effects in shopping and clothing are important”. When the first Dover Street Market department store was opened in London, everything that was amazing, was there. Rei Kawabuko, the designer of Comme des Garcons and visionaire of DSM just opened the new space in New York. The old building on Lexington Avenue is dramatically changed by imagination of Rei- every pop-up space has it’s own designer, with it’s very own feeling… The Thom Browne place looks like a stationary staffroom from an office. Prada looks like taken from fairy tale story. Fresh designers like Simone Rocha and Jacquemus have their mini boutiques, build the way the designers wanted. Rei Kawabuko gives opportunities for young designers, by creating the culture of Dover Street Market.
