Andy in Paris. Dior AW13

It’s the fifth collection by Raf Simons for Dior so far! And I’m saying it fifth time- Raf Simons, you are a new era’s fashion genius! This season, Raf was totally inspired with Dior New Look and Factory of Andy Warhol. The setting was wonderful- the silver clouds that were one of the biggest Warhol’s installation ever. The collection began with a classical remastered Dior new look in black and white colour. Then some amazing embroiderry came that showed women faces, classic pigalle pumps, flowers… And all in very refreshing colours!

The cluthes were amazing. All of them had a embroidered print of a Christian Dior pump in different colours. Although, Paris is definetly inspired with New York (for ex. Balenciaga), Simons keep the Parisian

There was a lot of mink coats and dresses with peplums- very femine and elegant. The collection was for now my favourite of whole Paris Fashion Week! It was crazy, non-chalant and at the same time very Parisienne and New Yorkish!

Vika Gazinskaya and Marc Jacobs: The Furry Friends

IMG_2767The 2013/14 season is really full of fur! After Altuzarra and Alexander Wang who showed their fur gloves (these are gonna be a real must have!) and coats, Donna Karan and Jason Wu had their beautiful fur scarves, and the best of all who really challanged the fur trend was Marc Jacobs! In his romantic collection he shown amazing furry scarves but with real foxy faces and tails! marc-fur1marc-fur2But then, few days later, Buro 24/7, a really good fashion site by Miraslava Duma, took us behind the scenes of Vika Gazinskaya show that will soon come in Paris. Vika Gazinskaya really messed up this year, she is available on colette and soon on net-a-porter.com. So coming back to the topic, Vika showed her collection and it was full of… scarves with foxy faces, but in a eco way! She says that it’s idea of respect for the animal but in a fashionable way! “I believe that fashion can make not only the skins of dead animals, but their clever imitation” and this is what she said in her interview. And I can’t say it’s copying Marc Jacobs or something- both ideas looking the same but still, have different message.IMG_2816IMG_2853IMG_2704IMG_2731IMG_2878

Mature Chic. Proenza Schouler AW13

20130215-085515 PM.jpg
Proenza Schouler is getting with every season even more mature and better! When the opening model of the show was Sasha Pivovarova, that is that is doing her big comeback, I thought that this will be good! And it was! The collection was very minimalistic, kept in black, white and neutrals. It was easy and classy. The ultra cool tailored jackets look really casual and perfect for a windy weather. And these ski like leather gloves look like lots of fun!

There was a comeback of asian inspired kimono dresses with straight peplums! The crepe dress in beige with some subtel dots was also a big highlight of the show. And I loved the serie of two models in sweatshirts that were presented on skirts or dresses made out of something looking like feathers! That was kind of parodoxal! A street chic mixed up with mature elegance. The shoes of the collection were incredible because they were just simple. A small fragile leather ribbon on a minimalistic high heel with stretch in the middle.

Now that’s a real bye bye time NYC. And we will meet in Milan (or in London, I am always forgetting!) 😃

Beauty of Forests. Thom Browne AW13

20130214-074956 PM.jpg
Thom Browne’s collection in New York was very procotative and sexy. The models were walking around a “forest” that was full of “preys” bounded with red string to white metallic beds. And the clothes that the models were wearing… That was a real fairytale. Tailored coats in gey and red colours with embroidered lace and flowers on ties! Just breath taking.

But the coats were not just the coats- these are coats with some big, fairy like tulle dresses under! It gave a lady like and a attractive look! The models looked like very sexy red riding hoods!

But the ending of the show was showed with beautiful, red outfits. Full of laces and flowers and square print. And I loved the most the skirts with roses and checked pattern- it lloked so… So femine!

Neon City. Rodarte AW13

20130213-084210 PM.jpg

Rodarte made me impressed till the end of the day. It was so… Different from others! Where else will you find a ballerina that went first to hard party night club, went back in a biker jacket with green hair, then on the second day had a fashion hangover and had to go on a elegant party but unfortunately a bucket of paint fell on her? Yeah you are on right address. Rodarte really mixed up everything but in a super cool way! 20130213-083409 PM.jpg
When the embroidered with flowers dresses with colourful spirals came out, and Cara Delevigne had a black and white dress kimono on her I was so suprised! And the more ready to wear- because most of dresses I would fairly call haute couture- clothes were the jeweled sweaters in multi colours, grunge jackets, smoking pants and this beige garniture with small circones on- the model with green hair wore it!20130213-083727 PM.jpg
Just loved also the setting- colourful neons and cold concrete. Just as I like. Minimalism is ruling!20130213-084129 PM.jpg
