Zofia Chylak is smart and romantic, but not at the edge of 19th century, where opulence gets boring. Her designs are modest and simple. And constantly kept in black & white colour palette. In her fashion, Zofia likes the tailorship, tradition and perfection in every piece. Chylak’s recent collection is pretty cold and solemn, but at the same stylish and wearable.
Poland
Kasia Bielska
In my opinion, Kasia Bielska is the most talented photographer from Poland. Her photographs are very artistic- the colours, the forms, the action. It’s all fluent, and makes you look at every photo with additional interest. My favourite works by Kasia are here- the one for The Lab Magazine, which is full of pink, and the second one for Kukbuk magazine, kept in brownish shades. Both of these editorials are dynamic, vibrant and really, really good!
Sonia Kitka
Sonia Kitka isn’t doing trends. And that’s her strongest point- her debutant collection was called Pretty Old. And that basically means, that old techniques are simply… PRETTY! She looked at knitwear through pink glasses, and gives respect for elder people. And at the same time it’s her little therapy for her phobia connected with getting old… in her beautiful collection we can see funny SISSY signs, candy sweet coats, knitted sweaters and a huge, huge dose of prettinest. Sonia Kitka is my moment’s real obsession! Just see why.
Ania Kuczynska
In my opinion, the Polish world of fashion and photography is truly not exploited. Here, on my blog, I want to show you the most amazing, innovative brands, designers and photographer which all come from my homeland- the beautiful Poland, which got its magnificient mountain ranges, colourful nature and impressive people of culture. The first one on the go is Ania Kuczynska, the Warsaw-based designer which is mine queen of Polish minimalism. But this minimalism has nothing to do with Celine-ish minimal chic. Ania’s style is full of femininity, visuality, sharp design- and she is constantly inspired with the world of children. Details of little girl’s wardrobe like lace or tulles are used by Kuczynska, but in a way it’s all still simple and slightly disturbing… her recent collection for SS14, Illuminate, is one of them. Inspired with art, sun, travelling and possibly Frida Kahlo (these flowers that are stuck in the clutches), the collection is easy-to-go and also very sophisticated. Denim kimonos, flawless white dresses, pyjama shirts… it’s all about ethno vibes and affordable key pieces. The prop of the show? Only the long, long oriental rug and huge photo presenting a sunset. This show was a beautiful and silent event which surely would find it’s lovers somewhere else in the world.
Aloha From Deer Pop-Up

Aloha From Deer is the coolest Polish brand ever- it produces awesome 3-D printed sweatshirts made out if cotton. Their pieces like shirt, t-shirts, sweatpants and varsity jackets are kept in very affordable prices and they might be just the clothes you want to wear this Summer! As the label expands, they have just opened a new pop-up store in Stary Browar, the hottest place in Poznan, Poland. With it’s industrial, brick interior, the store offers all of the pieces that you may find on alohafromdeer.com and the iconic Polish furnitures and other YOLO and swag stuff! If you are in Poznan now, the store is working till the end of June… and for the coolest clients, Aloha has a present!
