Michał Mrzygłód

20131020-084119 PM.jpg

Today at the amazing fashion fair here in Poznan, Poland, I had a pleasure to meet Michal Mrzyglod, the designer of a fresh label Mrzyglod. This London based label created by this young, amazing designer, is a mixture of street style influence, hi-tech fabrics and Polish folklore cut-outs but are made thanks to laser in Michal’s designs. As he shows his impressive pieces on male model, I would rather say that they are more unisex- definitely they are looking great on women. What I loved in his new collection that I saw today in live at the Hush fashion fair, is the youthful energy, strong colours and the practicality that is thanks to fabrics created by the designer. There is a big use of nowadays hottest material, neoprene and lots of salmon leather attached to sweatshirts and bags. Oh, and the shoes… These look really cosmic! If talking of Polish/London fashion scene, Michal Mrzyglod is the name to watch!

Look Du Jour: In The Castle

20131019-085728 PM.jpg
Today we had lots of fun in the Goluchow castle in one of the most beautiful parks in Poland… The castle built by the rich family of Chartoryski’s, decorated with marble columns, oak staircases and beautiful sculptures, made us all really impressed. And the park’s landscape looked so artistic and beautiful! So the best thing to show the awesomeness of this place, is to show Lena’s outfit of the day… Coat by Balenciaga, sweater and bag by Celine, sweatpants and shoes by Brunello Cucinelli, fur scarf custom made.

Nolita

20130223-112102 PM.jpg

The restaurant that’s worth a visit is Nolita –  you can taste true sophistication here. The meals are extraordinary, just like the way they are served. Looking forward to seasonal ingredients, Nolita is beloved by Warsaw‘s culinary maniacs for a kind of  “out of this world” feel it gives to every dish. As the main chief says, “we don’t have anything frozen, only the ice in the refrigarator!” – at Nolita, modernism doesn’t mean ‘artificial’.

Brasserie Warszawska

20130222-103519 PM.jpg

Brasserie Warszawska is currently the most fashionable restaurant in Warsaw. It’s known for best quality, but simple food using best quality Polish ingredients and foreign goods like Dutch oysters or truffles. The interior is simple, while there’s a beautiful, old bar made of zinc. 60’s lamps ooze with Polish cinema old glamour. If talking of the food, it’s… awesome. Just perfect. The essential to try out? For sure take the signature plate of fried oysters for a try! When I initially put them into my mouth, they were so crunchy and delicate in taste. Meanwhile, others tried a beef tartar, and they loved it, too.
