Street style icon and fashion editor Natalia Alaverdian delivers a fall collection that’s as experimental as it is wearable. Having already taken her style savvy from the street to the runway, we can only guess that her next destination is your closet. A.W.A.K.E, that this season was inspired with Edinburgh and Scoland’s traditional prints and materials. The classical checks on dresses and beautiful knitted 3-D sweaters with a goats head in creme colour. It all looks very comfy and warm, just perfect for Scottish winters!

La Piscine de Jacquemus
French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus chose to show his Fall ’13 collection at a public pool in Paris’ Bastille neighborhood. Fitting, considering the range was inspired in part by French actress Isabelle Adjani and her 1984 hit song and swim-centric music video, “Pull Marine.” Dreaming of Adjani in the water led Jacquemus to formulate a “tender” ideal of classic French sportiness with a hint of “Cocorico” patriotism.
Jacquemus gave homage to his homeland, France showing the patriotic flags on the shirts. Evident in his white, red, and blue palette and the fabulous white shirt with a Tricolore pocket. Other standouts included a cropped crewneck jacket paired with a low-slung pleated skirt, sweater-skirt combos, a T-shirt dress with trompe l’oeil red bathing suits, and lots of navy and white pin-striped cotton. This label is on my Hot list (the pool idea is stunning) and as for me it’s a bit similar to Julien David! Like if even Jacquemus was trained by David…
Sydney Mix. Ellery AW14
Sydney Fahion Week is done, and when I saw the relation of Ellery collection at Style Bubble, I was like “This is great. This is better. Everything is perfect!” This label’s deigner is Kym Ellery, a most popular fashion girl in Australia. For her runway Hanne Gaby Odiele, Ruby Jean Wilson and even Julia Nobis come out.
So, into the clothes. The Ellery girl is a mix of New York and Paris as for me. It’s edgy (lots of Maison Martin Margiela influences” a bit Suno\Proenza Schouler like. But in different way. The clothes tend to be simple, but in reality it’s opposite. They are very female and sexy. And interesting! Great use of materials, beautiful flower print on pants, bubble sweatshirts, lace and fur and lots of white/gold. Beginning is more casual and a bit street, the end- I would say “this is how a Sydney couture would look like!”. So I’m crazy for moment about Ellery, and hope to see other awesome collections by Kym! Impressed!
Tisci and Friends
I think Riccardo Tisci really got a rotweiller in his ass (in a good way of course)! Tisci is the creative director of Givenchy and is one of the most influencial menswear and womenswear designer from Paris. He is known for prints (Rottweiler, flowers, Madonna, Jesus, etc.) and street inspired clothing. And it’s not the end. He had his two whole interviews and editorials in Self Service and GQ (the one I’m showing is from Self Service), will design ballerina costumes for Bolero in one of the most known Parisian opera, makes friends with Kanye West and Jay-Z and if like it wasn’t enough, he created amazing scene costumes for Rihanna’s Diamond Tour. Crazy, isn’t it?
In the Self Service editorial Tisci is in his Atelier Givenchy “house” in Paris (it’s on Avenue George V, the building is next to Balenciaga boutique) siting on black sofa with his favourite model Joan Smalls and his friends from the runways. Of course every one wears pre-fall 2013 collection. And here I’ve got some backsatge pics from recent Givenchy show- full of grunge, romantic vibes, prints and Givenchy spirit. I personally loved the collection! It is the real Parisienne chic!
Russian Forests. Vika Gazinskaya AW’14
Yesterday when I saw Vika’s Gazinskaya new collection for autumn-winter I fell in love with her. Vika is a Russian seriously talented designer that is known for street style aestethics, graphical prints and minimalistic silhouttes. This season it was pretty mature with a youth vibe that gave these little foxy muppets! Lots of beautiful coats, paper jewellery (Gazinskaya classics), leather, ruffles were seen. And what’s more, in the lookbook the model that wore the clothes was standing in real snow and had a deep, dark forest behind her… This collection is so beautiful and awesome. Love it. And you?

The fox topic was my favourite one in collection. You can chose from a muppet scarf or a mini fashionable fox costume! And thanks god, Vika is more eco, opposite to Ulyana Sergeenko, and uses faux fur! So no harm! And effect? Even better than with real fur.

Sad that Vika together with her fashion Russian mafia- Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova and Anya Zhiorouvna- already show all the clothes during fashion week… There was no real surprise unfortunately, but still, Vika Gazinskaya is a great designer.
